You are right - being alone in the place would seem perfect for me. But I need some people just so the place doesn't seem scary. I caught Geagau Lake on a real slow day and it seemed like something out of a horror movie - there was literally no one else walking around. Gave me the creeps.
I feel the same way as you its just creepy sometimes

Its because for many of them, it is their chance to be first at something other than the buffet line.
Was that really necessary?

I know that you can walk to the Marina Entrance from the Main Lot, but is there anyway to get to the Marina Entrance from Hotel Breakers?

I guess I'll just drive over :) I would enter through the Beach Entrance, but last time I did that and ran over to MF, the line was already full!

There is no way to walk from Breakers to the Marina without cutting through the park. You are not allowed to walk on Perimeter Road past the Marina entrance, and the Beach is blocked off just past WT. Your only choice is to drive around to the main lot and then walk back up Perimeter Road to the Marina Entrance.

I don't know if they still do it, but I stayed in the cabins a few years back, maybe 5 or so, and they had a shuttle that ran from the resort area to the Marina for restaurant purposes. Not sure when it starts, or if they even still do it, but there's my 2 cents.
There is still a shuttle. The park maps handed out at the toll booth show the locations, unfortunately, I don't remember the stops off the top of my head.

The shuttle has a stop at Soak City, the Front gate, the marina Gate, Breakers, (I think) near Camper Village/Lighthouse Point/Sandcaste Suites. I don't know if it stops at all of those or if there is one common stopping point. There may be other stops.

I've heard about the shuttle, but I've never seen it while I was there.

A note about the shuttle stops. They say it goes to the front gate but they in fact drop you off across the Perimeter Road near Pet Check. We rode it last year from the Breakers. When we did not get off the shuttle at Pet Check, the driver asked us what we were doing. When I replied we are going to the front gate, he said get off here, this is as close as we get. So, it was a bit of a walk which wasn't a problem for most of our party. However, we had an elderly person with us. The point of taking the shuttle to the front gate was to rent a scooter for her without her having to walk a long way. She made it but, it was a struggle. As it turned out we probably could have arranged for her to pick up a scooter at Joe Cool as we sometimes do and walked in the Magnum gate instead.
Last closing weekend there was a salty old bastard driving that shuttle. We were going LHP to Famous Dave's, and he was such a dick about how long it would take to get there and all of the stops, so we got out and walked through the park from Challenge Park.

This is probably because in the morning there is to much walking traffic along the front of the parking lot. Shuttle buses trying to get to the front gate would be a pain and tie up buses longer then what is needed. Any of you that have tried to drive along the front know that it can take awhile to get through because of the amount of people.
