And I've been on enough rides to know that a silent response to "how was your ride?" is not exclusive to Mantis. MF, Maverick, Raptor, Blue Streak, and Magnum are all examples off the top of my head.

Sending Mantis to Michigan's Adventure would definitely solidify that park as Cedar Fair's red-headed stepchild....

What does it mean when the response to "how was your ride" is grunts, groans and "it hurts"?
What does it mean when the response to "how was your ride" is grunts, groans and "it hurts"?
Same thing it means when you hear the same grunts and groans on any other ride.

The same thing your other metrics mean: absolutely nothing.

How can the most profitable park in the chain be considered neglected, unwanted or mistreated?
Haha yea - they might get a lot out of Michigan's Adventure compared to what they put into it as far as costs and investments, but they definitely aren't the most profitable. Michigan's Adventure might even have the highest margins of anyone in the chain, but the scale is tiny compared to most of the other parks.

Perfectly-sized park for its market, making plenty of money for the company. Michigan's Adventure is the opposite of a neglected property.
Most profitable is a measure of margin percentage, not net earnings.

There are different measures of profitability. You can use dollar profits, profit margin (profits as a percentage of revenues) and return on investment.
It doesn't change the point that MiA is operating in a right-sized manner.

I think profitability would be the margin percentage and amount of profit would be the dollar profit.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
I am not saying anything about MiA. Just that there are different measures of profitability. Its a lot more clear to talk about profit margins, return on investment or profits rather than the more generic "profitability" which can mean any of the three of them.
I don't understand the whole Mantis walk-on argument. I have NEVER walked on to Mantis. I wish it was cuz I love it, too!

When did you go? I've been there 7 times this year and every time I walked by no one was in line and people we walking right on - and yes it was operating. My last visit was 7-9, might hit park for a few this evening too, Ill let you know.
^The only time I ever see a line for Mantis is during July and during Halloweekends. Other than that, I'm with you on that. By the way, I love your Signature. You have that memorized down to a science!
Mantis was a walk on yesterday, and 27 people were taken to the hospital from Michigan's Adventure yesterday.
