DOUBLE Winning.
First no bins slowing things down, and second, if this theory of "people won't ride it cause there are no bins" is true, the wait will be EVEN SHORTER!
I hate bins on absolutely every ride. I can't see a valid reason for carrying stuff around the park. Or, if you REALLY have to, get yourself a cheap stroller and put all your crap in it, and leave it at the ride entrance. Though my kids have mostly outgrown stollers, we still take one in sometimes... it's handy!
Some people as pointed out above do have to have some things on them.
I usually just keep stuff in my pockets, time to ride, shove it all in my cover and get on the ride. Bins are nice if you move with a sense of purpose, but yes people do lolligag.
Either way honestly as I've gotten older having a universal locker to tote around and share with friends has become convenient, especially with the ability to open them whenever during the rental.
I do wish they had an all day deal for all the lockers. Like pay 15 bucks or something to be able to use all the electronic lockers. It'd be nice to stow and go near Millie, then walk around do stuff, then hey drop stuff off at GK, then drop it off before a last night TTD ride or whatever.

I like the bins. You guys realize you will now have to pay for lockers without bins?
Or you could make the choice to not carry so much crap around with you.
Promoter of fog.
They could set up the lockers like universal where it's the first half hr is free and after that you pay and the longer you keep it in the more it cost. The bins being removed don't bother me any.

I don't ever carry anything at all actually. Glasses tend to fly off on rides and that is something I find the bins useful for.
Get a strap.
Where there's a will, there way.
Where there's efficiency, there are no bins.

Have a friend or family hold them if they don't like the Coasters or Thrill Rides. I have pockets for everything I take.

I totally agree, I'd be more inclined to pay for a locker if I wasn't restricted to one area

All day lockers are $12, $15 and $21 (small, medium, xlarge) and you can come and go as you please. Pay an extra dollar for a locker with a phone charger in it . Other than that, it's a dollar an hour with a two hour minimum. The rule on magnum is new and permanent. Just a reminder it is the same for Millie and Dragster as well, and Gatekeeper has small bins so no large bags allowed. Also, ride hosts do not make the rules. Please be mindful of that. We only enforce them. There were many rude comments to an awesome employee at the Magnum and an employee at the Millennium entrance today, and it escalated to something that was unnecessary. Just put your bag in a locker or don't ride, it's really simple.
I still have no clue why people feel the need to carry the equivalent of a carry-on suitcase worth of stuff around the park with them. I suppose a lot of that is CP or amusement park newbies who over-prepare but a lot of it is definitely people who simply can't let go of their phones for a whole six or eight hours.
There will probably be a period of people complaining to the park about it and then they'll adjust over time, as usual..
Maverick bins actually doesn't hold down ride capacity.
It just is one of slowest ridership per hour coaster.

With the technology we have today, this doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility. I'm not aware of anyplace actually doing this, but it seems like a great idea actually! Pay your fee, get a card or "key" of some sort that lets you unlock an electronic locker and use it in different areas throughout the park. This way you are not paying the fee for your all day locker or bin at the front gate and then having to return there each time you need something. You could move your stuff along with you from one area of the park to another without having to pay over and over. You would probably pay more dearly up front for this convenience, but the feeling of getting nickeled and dimed and getting irritated that you can't put your stuff in a free bin on one ride platform when you just did on another would be minimized.
The most difficult part is it would have to only allow you to use one at a time. Certainly not an impossible task in programming and networking. :)
Also, I agree that Maverick isn't slowed by bins to the degree that Magnum or Raptor is. Its interval is by design a lot longer and the trains are relatively easy to walk through. Additionally, you only have 24 potential people going for a single bin instead of 32 or 36 AND there is more room to maneuver on the unload side of that ride. Still it wouldn't break my heart to see the bins go away there too for consistency sake. Didn't we just raise a height requirement for "consistency?" :)

OK, I get the whole safety bit about loose items flying off and injuring people. What I don't get is why the charge so much for the locker rental.
Even at $12, $15, and $21 for all day rental- the park is making a small fortune off the "safety" explanation they are using to generate even more $ for themselves.
For those that bring along a non-rider in their party that will stand guard over their items it's not an issue (unless your the one that paid admission and now gets to sit, wait, and watch everyone else --- and their valuables).
The cost of the actual lockers, and any maintenance on them has got to be very small compared to the revenue they are bringing in. After all, they use these same sort of devices at malls, skating rinks, and other locations and they charge far less for their usage in these locations than CP does.
Exactly, same reason they sell piss in a bottle with a Bud Light label for 9+

Up until this year, I would have said Raptor needed the bins for all the sandals/loose shoes. Even before there were bins, people piled their shoes on the exit side of the station. Somehow, Banshee is overcoming this with its no loose article policy. I'm not really sure how, because it was so darn cold on media day that no one was wearing sandals. Maybe making people sit on them?

Here's a brilliant idea, don't bring valuables on the ride... is that really so difficult?
I don't follow on this. Most people have money, a phone, and often car keys on them, which are all valuables. I'd say make sure you can secure all of your valuables on yourself and leave anything else you have with you in a locker or with a non-rider.
