Luminosity Testing?

It's still blocked off. Ouimet and some other higher ups were watching from them but the area is still unfinished.

Anybody have pictures of the bleachers? I'm thinking of coming after work to Cedar Point on Friday to come see the grand opening.

So is it official that there are bleachers where wildcat was? I haven't seen/heard anything confirming it.

There are bleachers behind the fence (visible from Iron Dragon) plus a surprise.

For it being a show, included in the price of admission, it looks quite impressive and fun. I would never stay for the big screen, laser show, but I will actually stay in the park to watch this show when I break down from my Fast Lane protest.

I'm just hoping it attracts enough people to make the MF lines shorter.

I believe Fast Lane protestors are only allowed to watch from the Corkscrew entrance. You're allowed in front of the stage once the show is over.

Go see some of those top 40 hits performed live (not lip syncing to a recording) by their actual artists and they'll sound just as bad. Live auto-tuning isn't quite up to snuff yet.

The video I've seen of the show looks pretty impressive. I can't wait to see it in person, although as of now, I have no idea when that'll be. :(

And I do know the zones now with barkers...CarnEvil and Bayou...they will tell guests to not bring food in or drinks and that if they do that's their decision. So yes, if a guest walks in with a full drink he becoms a target by everyone. And if I scare him and he spills I don't feel bad because I know the barkers out front warn the guests from doing so. Anyone who walks into any zone is fair game for us, whether you have nachos and huge drink, or have a camera and just taking pictures of rides.

The bigger problem would also be if anyone would let the person with said drink get all the way through the zone with no one attempting to scare them because they had a drink. So for someone who is scaring someone with a drink in their hands..they're doing their job, not going for that person or any other person would be the issue.

Why would this be a problem?

Some, myself included, actually enjoy the atmosphere of the zones, and would actually prefer not to be scared.

And really, "scared" is absolutely the wrong terminology here, and makes the job sound far more grandiose than it is. Screamsters aren't "scaring" anyone. They're startling them. And there is a difference.

It's a problem because as the job you're suppose to scare guests. And if someone makes it all the way to the end of a zone or house and has no one attempt to scare them then it is a problem. During nights I do stand by the exit and will ask guests how it was and some will tell me no one went for them and they are upset about it. I make it a point to make sure I go for as many guests as possible. And yes, we do scare people, granted most get startled but we do scare guests. To where they will stop in their tracks and not want to take a step further, or break down and cry because they have that much fear in us. And I do know some people do enjoy the atmosphere, because it really is something different and really cool, but the second someone steps foot in the zone they are now a target regardless of what they are carrying or what they hope to happen, and I work hard to make sure everyone in the zone knows that and they try and go for as many people as possible to make sure by the end of the zone every guest has had some kind of interaction with a Screamster.

You should probably be careful about making sure someone else doesn't have to wear the beer you're spilling. Additionally, be prepared to deal with someone who is walking around at 11pm with beer number ???. That doesn't mean they're off limits...but should, as in any circumstance, scare (sorry, startle) safe and smart.

Sneaking up behind someone and jumping out and screaming/growling isn't scary, it's startling. And maybe some people end up being scared as a result, so perhaps suggesting Screamsters don't scare anyone is not accurate.

However, the main point is that it takes very little skill to startle someone, and far more creativity to scare someone. And the reason I bring it up is because I doubt anyone of beer-consuming age has ever been so frightened that they dropped their beverage. Startling someone into doing the same is comparatively easy.

Nevertheless, Bigmal's given me a good idea. I'll make it my goal of every HW to get "scared" into dousing the Screamster at fault with my tasty beverage.

I was thinking the same thing. Especially since we know where these employees work, it won't be our fault if we spill it all over them.

Oh dear...all the Screamsters this year are going to be swamp things. :)

So if a guest goes into one of the zones with the intent of getting startled/scared and then dumping their beer onto the screamster that startled/scared him/her does that mean the guest has performed an act of douchebaggery of a very high level as well?
