Why ride coasters? Becuse there is NOTHING better to do than riding a coaster!

I know..I couldn't believe it either
Please tell me you're not serious. If you are, I hope somebody takes you hostage and forces you to wait 6 hours in 90 degree weather for TTD. And that the ride shuts down for the day right before you sit in the train.
I woould not wait for over 90 mins.... it's not that crowded in the park ,,, Get yourself to the other rides first, (the 'crowd issue' is a major problem right now)
Mine was back in July of 2003, on a Friday. Dragster line at 9:40am or 9:55 was already past the photo booth to the ride, it was two an a half hours with an added 30min break down.

I thought the all-time champ was still Corkscrew with its legendary four to six hour waits. That was WITHOUT breakdowns.Remember, back in 1976, the park had higher attendance than it has now, but with only Blue Streak, Mine Ride, Wildcat, Jumbo Jet and Corkscrew to serve its roller coasting needs.

I remember my dad telling me back in 1978, when he, my mon and there two friends went there in July on a weekend, saying that the line for Corkscrew was all the way back to the rides Corkscrew's, and farther back. :) They didn't remember the length of the line for Gemini but it was long.

My former boss said he waited 3+ hours for it when it opened. It's hard to overstate just how novel and exciting inversions were even up through the Eighties.
The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.
I think our wait for TTD on Media Day was closer to 4 hours..what a disaster! That has been my longest wait ever for a coaster!

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?
I was 11 when Mean Streak opened, so the details are sketchy at best. It was its opening weekend, possibly opening day and it kept raining off and on. We waited in front of Last Chance Saloon for what my mom remembers as around 5 hours for track to dry and then open the ride. That process was repeated about 5 times.
So you waited 25 hours? ;)

This isn't the longest wait I have ever had, but by far the dumbest. Back on that Halloweekend Saturday a few years ago when the park got absolutely slammed, my wife and I waited around 2 hours for Mean Streak. Now I wouldn't wait 30 seconds for it.

Mean Streak is not even worth a walk-on for me.
And the wait for Millennium Force that day was two hours.

Once I waited more than a month for a flume ride to finally open. ;)
Correction: I'm not really waiting, per se. I take it back.

I waited 13 1/2 hours for Maverick with my 3 stubborn friends who wouldn't leave the line. Oh AND we never got on. Guess that's what I get for not being assertive enough and just saying "NO, it's going to be raining all day guys and nothing will be running. We can go another day."

My longest wait was in 08 during halloweekends for Maverick. It was a 4hr wait. The line went all the way through the maze and outside and around to chick fil a. Thats the bussiest I've ever seen the park. I can remember trying to walk through the park and coming to complete stops for seconds at a time. I only got to ride 4 coasters that entire day. Loved it though!

I believe I saw a picture where the line for Dragster was backed up to Iron Dragon but that might be because they didn't open the ride yet.
That first year I had posted a picture of the line reaching all the way back to sky ride, and the ride was open when I took it. Sadly I no longer have that picture... but it was one crazy wait
