The longest I ever waited was Opening Day 2009. I waited 4.5 hours for Dragster during the rain. It was worth it though for a triple rollback. The longest I actually waited for an operating ride was Halloweekends 2007 for Maverick with a 2 hour line near the $10 Dollar Store.

I've waited 2 hours for lots of things and I probably wouldn't ever wait longer than that. My worst waits were for Dragster in 2003-2005. I couldn't stand the anxiety of it going down while I was in line...again. If it did, I almost always left the line immediately.
I waited 2 hours for Mean Streak during Halloweekends 2008. It was a bit nostalgic using the infield queues, well, if CP would have cleaned them anyway. The bushes were way overgrown too. Folks on the ride would start yelling things while riding, which made it entertaining while waiting.

6 total hours for TTD in 2003.
We had ridden everything we wanted to by about 6pm one summer day then decided we would wait as long as it took to get on Dragster cause we had done everything else. We were in the last queue block when we first got in line. The ride then went down..for a long LONG time. Eventually we were waiting in the station. The only way we got there was from people leaving the line because the ride never fully went back up. At 11pm they decided it was not going to run and that everyone had to leave the line. However, the amount of people still left waiting was so small (maybe 50-100 people) they gave everyone a skip the line pass to use on another day. That was 5 hours waiting.
The next morning we used our pass to get in line at the ramp divide, and decided to be real risky and wait for the front row, which took an hour. So to get that one ride on TTD, we waited 5 hours one night and 1 hour the next day. I will never forget that!
Second place goes to Dragster again, this time on media day for about 4 hours.
Third place is MF on Opening Day 2000, about 3 hours.

I did not wait in it, but I think dragster had a 6 hour wait when it came out. That's correct. I rode Dragster opening day with the Red Cross, and immediately got back in line for another ride with a two hour wait. When I got off the second time, a female radio announcer was declaring: "This is the world's tallest coaster, this is the world's fastest coaster, and this has the world's longest wait for a roller coaster, now estimated at six and one half hours!" Robin Innes was standing nearby, so I asked him if she was correct about the wait. "Yup" he said.

The longest I waited was for MF on its opening weekend. The worst wait was 2+ hours for Avalance Run in 90 degree weather in its opening year. Back then they didn't have awnings covering que area's.

Please dont let this thread turn into a bunch of posts like the thread when one of you on here told the story about when you were in line for MF in 2007...............

60"? Wow! If you want to see how a requirement like that would go over today. Just read the threads when CP changed Maverick's requirement from 48" to 52"
And yet, no mention of the Witches Wheel going from 60"/48" to 54"; and very little commentary about Millennium Force going from 54" to 48"...

Who remembers when Mine Ride and Cedar Downs were both 48"/0"...

Longest wait for me was close to 2 hours for Maverick in 2008. I've hated that queue ever since...tho the ride itself is awesome.
I love the fact that Witches Wheel drooped from 60. But, I don't understand why a kid can't ride with an adult anymore.
I didn't know Milli was ever 54". I wasn't on the forums then. I was GP then I guess :)

I remember when I was a kid in the early 80's, the first year the American Eagle opened at SFGA my dad and I waited in line for well over 4 hours.
I was actually at SFGAm today, and I waited an hour and 15 minutes because they were only running one side, and the park was surprisingly packed today. It really wasn't worth it. Then again, the long waits for just about everything in that park weren't worth it...
Actually, the longest wait for me was probably Dragster a few times in '04 and Maverick in '07.
About eight minutes during the VIP tour. Apparently Maverick had broken down and we just got there as it was coming back up. They had us wait a few trains. It was terrible.

Wow, just wow. I don't know what to say about that.
I went on Tuesday the 8th too and lines weren't bad at all. First ride was Millenium Force right at opening and the wait was about 30-40 minutes. Maverick, Raptor, Dragster, and Mantis were all about 45 minutes. Those seems pretty short to me.
I remember coming to the park the year Millennium Force opened and the wait being about 3 1/2 hours. Last year, the longest I think we had to wait was about 2 hours for Maverick.

I don't think you could do a Jumbo Jet today at any height, since it was a roller coaster without restraints. You just sat in the train inline, very much like you did in log flumes like White Water Landing, and held on. No restraints at all, not even a seat belt.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Well at least not in the US.
The same model ride (Jet Star 3) is still running in Guadalajara. And I rode one of the Jet Star 2 models at Lagoon (2 still operating and 2 being built). No single riders allowed on that one. It had seat belts. The other one is in Lithuania and from the pictures does not appear to have seat belts. Of the original Jet Star model, 5 are still running. The only one in the US is Tig'rr at Indiana Beach. It has seat belts. But, I think they weren't added until last year because of the new owners. The other 4 (all outside the US) do not have good enough pictures of the cars to see the restraint systems.

I still don't understand the no single rider out at Lagoon. It seemed very awkward having to pair up with another person that you did not know and having them essentially sit in your lap. Rode it twice and really enjoyed it but gave up trying to ride it more as it was just weird from the people aspect.
I got lucky and was paired up with a good looking young woman. I'm not sure how happy she was about it though. ;) It was a fun ride. Because of the NSR rule, I only rode it once. I had the same thing on the Mad Mouse at Quassy.

I know..I couldn't believe it either
My longest wait was 3 1/2 hours for Dragster during Halloweekends in 2007 but they were only running the trains with about 6 people at a time
