Loading Station Design

There is still like maybe 1500 feet worth of track, that's not enough to make a coaster for whatever they're building. A couple days ago supports arrived, so I'm sure the rest that comes in will be track and last but not least the Trains. So like you said Gmoney, it's a lot of fun to speculate.

There are also plenty more supports to come, there really aren't that many on site.

First trip June 23rd

I think theres ALOT more to come. I think that this is creating antisipation, and its doing a good job. imagine what the staging area is going to look like in oct? plus, i wonder if weather there actually goning to put up any of the supports before the park closes/ intresting.

I imagine the "staging area" will look quite barren in October.

Ride Raptor. The only time that line stops is when someone pukes.

or they stop and talk to someone, and doesn't pay attention when the line moves and he or she or whoever they are, does this all of the time not just once or twice.

I never understood why people get angry when you don't move as soon as the guy ahead of you moves. It's as if people are under the impression that you will get on the ride faster.

My bad. I was thinking begining of middle of sept middle of october, you know while the park is still open. I know that when other rides were built, it all (well the majority) of the track/supports were brought in where hotel breakers/gemni area. So this is intresting that all of this is in plain view for everybody to see when they come in off of the main cause way. I still think that the rest of the track/supports are going to be brought in where the actuall construction area is. but once again its just pure speculation!

TTD is MADE to run 6 trains, it can't (efficiently anyways), so it runs 5. It has 2/3 more trains than raptor or magnum, and yet it churns through far fewer people than either one of them.

I know we stopped talking about this earlier, but THINK before you post. One Raptor car has at least double the capacity of a Dragster car (raptor sits 4 across, dragster sits only 2 across). Also, Magnum does not have to sit right outside the station for 30 seconds to a minute before each train goes while "Keep Arms Down" is played 5+ times (ok, maybe the hill lift is similar to this, but do you get my point?). Yes, it does seem like Dragster should run with a higher capacity, but you have to consider all the factors involved.

Four discount funday tickets to Cedar Point: $130.96
Overnight stay at Breakers Express: $70
Riding rides the size of skyscrapers while "legally" breaking the local speed limit: Priceless

^but you also have to keep in mind that magnum has to wait 60+ seconds for the departing train to make it up the lift hill and the third train to be heading back to the station. While raptor has the ability to load more people per train, it can only load one train at a time. TTD can load two at a time, at 18 per train So i think they even each other out. plus their both designed diffrently. TTD is designed for 1500 riders per hour and raptor 1800 per hour. There are no diffrent "factors" involved. all three rides are designed diffrently. So you my friend, should THINK before you post, and Stop trying to be Sherlock Holmes, trying to prove your superior knowlege of Roller coaster Theroy......

Futhermore, What does this have to do with the Loading Station Design? On with the speculation! w00t!!

I love Monkeys! I love Monkeys!

I will tell you guys what it is......

It is a red tracked white supported intimin roller coaster. That track has never disigned to do loops or at least I think. It has mainly been used on giga, hyper, and strata coasters. But hay were talking about intimin here the geniouses of roller coasters if they wanted to make a giga with loops or that track they would.

WE WILL NOT KNOW EXACTLY WHAT IT WILL BE UNTIL SOMEBODY TELLS US OR WE HAVE A LOT MORE EVIDENCE AND IT STARTS TAKING SHAPE. You can guess all you want we will know when it is tme for us to know.

As for the station I have only few cares. I would like to see an uncluttered station that can handle getting as many people on to the ride in a safe way as possible. That is it people Thank you and good night.

Yeah new year, and finally got my license, well back in august. Im in need of a trip to the park.

Intamin's single spine track is used on all their modern steel coasters, except the stratas and impulses.

Skipping past the calm and collected Gomez post:

SHUT UP. SHUT UP. SHUT UP. SHUT UP ABOUT TRACK TYPE.

Intamin uses whatever kind of track is needed for a particular part of a ride, and there's NO WAY YOU CAN TELL THE RIDE TYPE BASED ON THE NUMBER OF RAILS THE TRACK HAS. It's that simple.

I have been saying this for far too long and I'm getting really tired of saying it. It's not possible, so just stop.

I kind of agree with the idea that Project 2007 could be a looper. If you look at the photos of the staging area, one of the track pieces has a 90 degree bend to it. This could be used for an inversion which would probably also have a loop somewhere else on the track or the 90 degree twist could be for a overbanked turn(i.e. MF) which would mean it would be a speed oriented coaster. But it could be both or neither, we wont know until they lay track or the eventual press release.

Now I can proudly chant "We're No. 16!" Thank you Cubs for allowing me to live my dream.

Linear Gale in Japan uses the single spine 'triangle' track:

I dont know about rail number but this sure would tell me what kind of ride it is. http://www.rcdb.com/ig2999.htm?picture=2 http://www.rcdb.com/ig2832.htm?picture=9

^Nice try Adam, but you would be using the catchcar track placed in the middle of the track to determine the ride and not the number of rails.

See, you're getting into specifics where as Exit is reffering to the general idea that because a track has 2, 3 or 4 rails that you would be able to tell.

TTD 120mph's avatar

I wasnt really leaning towards # of rails. But I see what you mean.
