I was just watching the webcam that has been set on Breakers and I saw a guy walk towards Soak City from where Bon Air used to be... what could that mean? He might have even had some papers in his hand, I couldn't tell if it was doughnut wrapper or a set of blue prints but either way...

perhaps they are moving it! would be nice to see the Rougarou? i can dream!
I just took a glance at cam 1 and can't help but notice what seems like dark soil or mulch across a portion of the land of the former Good Time Theater. Any suspicions? Maybe they're just trying to make it look nice and not an eyesore for the 2015 season.
EDIT: It also appears to be on the adjacent side by the blue streak and raptor area where the turnpike cars used to be.
Its topsoil. Need it to plant grass.

Here's hoping they take some of that topsoil and use it to plant some grass under Rougarou. :)
Why plant grass if it will be torn out again during construction of the new attraction? Maybe that space isn't for 2016.

I think you're right. Which makes me wonder about the timing of the project. When Maverick's land was cleared, they left it as dirt during construction. So maybe this plot is going to be empty for a while. Or perhaps they've been given a bigger budget for such things than they had under Kinzel.

I've been told that the GTT was originally going to be removed AFTER the 2015 season but due to the condition of the roof (which I can confirm was in horrible shape) the theater was removed a season early. So if that is the case, whatever that space is being used for was not going to see construction until later in 2015. So it would make sense to plant grass while it just sits there for the length of the season.
I'm going to laugh if this ends up being like the Swan Boats removal. Wasn't that removed in like, 2002-2003, and you see how much time passed until development..(I could be wrong on the dates).
I still don't see reason for investing in top soil and grass on a plot of land covered with 10 ft fences. Nobody will see it? That has to be a sign it's going to be a couple years before anything is developed.
My God... we're talking about grass on webcams. The park can't open soon enough.

Well yes it does sound silly when you put it like that. But, it is strange why they would plant grass if it is going to be torn up later in the season. I sure hope this project is for 2016 and not later.

I thought it was odd too. Mainly because I guess we were assuming that construction would start this season. Maybe not :(
I don't know what you're talking about.

I love how some of you guys act like grass is so expensive. Putting grass down for just one season to make it look nice really won't cost that much. Anyone remember the Demon Drop area? Sure a much smaller space but it was covered in grass for a whole season and then a year later was replaced by Ocean Motion.
Speaking of webcams, I'd like to be able to zoom in on the progress over at Tiki Twirl. I dont look at the thing all day every day, mind you, but it seems if and when the camera includes that view there's a big rain blob or something over that exact spot. I guess it's pretty far away from Power Tower to see much anyway.
With all the attention on Rougarou, (blog posts, videos, minute reports and such), I'm curious and slightly dismayed as to why we haven't been treated to at least a glimpse of the "new" midway and what's happening over there. I think I'm more excited for that area than I am for the remodeled coaster- not sure why...
Oh well, there's not too many days left until I can see it, all I want and as much as I want, live and in person.
