Launch side going higher

That's an optical illusion made by the twists of the track. This is noticeable on WT's towers too.

Just to tell you all. Those are called friction brakes! The plates are made of of copper which is not magnetic. There is 2 fins beneath the train which the plate rubs on creating friction to slow teh train down. IF they used magnecic brakes the brake run would be half that length.

I am not looking stupid I am clearing up a subject that was an page 1 and 2 about those magnetic brakes. I hate when people say stuff wrong, especially when people are in line and they think they know it all. i wish I could just but in and prove everyone wrong. Sorry but I just had to say that.
hey dude I hate to tell you this but Jeff knows what he is talking about. So you should feel stupid right now and you should hate yourself right now because you are totally wrong. And next time you post please try to CAPITALIZE.

It doesn't even matter that Jeff knows. We have picture evidence that these breaks are the same used on Xcelerator. Contact Intamin if you wish.. I have this funny feeling that what they would tell you would be pretty damn accurate!

So back to this launch side.. how the hell is this thing going to rotate! I first thought a simple 90 degrees.. but now I really don't know what to think.

Why would your opinion have changed?

From what I've seen of the track, it's in the general vicinity of halfway to it's apex. Since the down side will have that insane twist, wouldn't it make sense to make the twist into the tophat around halfway? Which is how the track is twisted now.

The layout is pretty obvious to me: Launch, 90*, Tophat, 270*, Brakes. And every second of it will be insane.

I would have thought an announcement would come before we had it "all figured out", though. The downward twist came as a bit of a surprise to some. But, what else is there to "shock" us with come announcement time?

There are still some nay-sayers here about the height that will be shocked by the announcement. But even if there isn't really anything to shock us with, there is a lot to shock the media and GP with! :)

I dunno.. that launch looks like it is twisting just as fast as the downside. Overall, I still think its a 90 degree twist after the launch, but I'm just not as sure as before.

I'm kinda losing interest in the whole guessing game.

I can see how one can lose interest, especially if you've been following the project since the first footers were spotted.

If you've been playing the game at home, you know who to listen to and who not to. Pretty much everything has been laid down in front of us, wether we know it or not. The only pieces of information left are: exact height, ride name, and degrees of "twistage".

Actually, I think that the degrees of twistage are also covered, by the amount of twisting track on site, and the way it has to twist in order to meet up with what's already there.
