I'll jump in, why not...

I'll be 25 in June and therefore don't need any stupid "I'm just out of high school so I'm going to party as such" drama.... I'm starting off wherever I get stuck May 4th and moving into Golds as soon as it opens...it may suck but life's not the Hilton. (I'm also more than likely working in the back of the park, which makes it more convenient).

Almost a decade and a half ago (eek!!), I processed into Cedars in '94. At the time, Housing restrictions were incredibly strict. Even when I became a Housing Supervisor the next year, it did not bend and we were forcefully reminded on a regular basis to instill these regulations, etc.

Luckily, by my 3rd year, I processed in very early with a friend from home. In the interim, I had roommates that were amazing friends whom I cherish to this day,...and also some odd characters that I would like to forget.

With the dawn of Facebook and Myspace, I think that it is becoming increasingly more accessible and easy for people to meet and connect. The Housing Department has "FINALLY" begun to get hip to that fact, I think. Thank GOD...it's about time!!

Chancing it with a roomie can be a blessing or a risk. You can meet your lifelong best friend or your worst enemy. Use those aforementioned technical resources well in advance.
