Just Got Back From Seeing TTD In Person

My wife & I decided to drive up to CP today, from Cleveland, just to see TTD. I'll tell you, it's awesome looking. When we first saw it in person, we actually felt scared of it, do to it's height & size. The pictures on the internet are good, but, don't do it justice. Seeing it in person really gives you an idea as to how big this thing is. Getting to see TTD with MF right there too, WOW, that thing's huge. We even drove around to get different pictures from different vantage points. We drove up to Marblehead, which is actually a little north to north west of the park, great view from there to. The best view was when we decided to take the scenic entrance route. This takes you on Cedar Point Rd. right along the lake. It's the closest we got without actually being in the parking lot. It was great. If you live within 2 hours of CP, take a drive up there to see this thing, before the park opens. It is truly an amazing sight that you need to see in person to truly understand & appreciate the enormous size of this monster of a ride. I can't wait to ride it.
please post some pictures!!
I saw it from a distance around Christmas-time in a road in Sandusky. Even though it was a little distant, from what I saw it's pretty big. But most likely I will see it in July when I go to the park, so from what Jeff Good said, pictures are necessary, so if you want to put them online, go ahead. Seeing it in person will make everyone feel amazed.
If you took pictures and have a scanner/digital camera but not a website you can send them to me and I can post them on my site.

I saw it in person when it was only up to the start of the twist on both sides. It was impressive then, I can only imagine what it's like now.

I drove out to see it in December the weekend after it was topped off. It is increadible to see how big this thing is in person. I got as close as the back of the parking lot, and from there, it just dominates over PT. www.virtualmidway.com has some good pics of TTD from the back of the parking lot and accross the bay at Battery Park. You can compare it to PT and MF in those pics.

That's funny, John Blount, I went to Cedar Point and Marblehead today too! And we came from Cleveland. Oh yeah....and....uhh.....it's a big ride.

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one. 3.5 hour drive for us last weekend for a little getaway. We stayed at Radison Harbor and at night had a view of the park. We could see the warning beacons flash on Millie and, considerably higher, Dragster.

We also went to Marblehead Lighthouse for an awesome view point. It's kinda like standing back to get a good look at it, you can see how tall Dragster is compared to it's surroundings. A must see.

ONE freeway stamp a day... ONE

I went out to the parking lot a couple of days after they topped it off, and like everybody else said, it's a whole different thing than seeing it in pictures. I think the people who see it in person for the first time on opening day are really going to be surprised at its true size. It's still so weird seeing something so much taller than MF...

Enjoy your ride on the Big Bad Bug

How close are they letting people to it? Are they letting people into the parking lot or perimiter road?

I hope i did'nt brain my damage

Can you see it from I-90? I remember some people saying that MF could be seen, but I never saw it.

This reminds me alot of when i first saw MF. I thought 300 ft cool, but no big deal. I still remember coming around that bend on the cause way and seeing it for the first time, my jaw just dropped. I have a feeling i'm again underestaiming the size of this ride. And when i come around that bend again and see it for the first time my jaw will drop again,

lol, its funny, i wen to the park with my frined last summer and we were coming up and i was saying, "You know, MF dosnt look all that big anymore." And my friend was like, "Yeah, it just dosnt grab you as much as it once did."

Okay John, learn how to spell and the difference between to, too, and two. Once you learn how to do that try to figure out the difference between do and due. After that maybe, just maybe you will be able to post something respectable. Its okay, we all make mistakes.

I live in Ann Arbor. Do you folks think it is worth the drive to see it?
Definitely worth the drive. Back in january my family and I got to drive along perimeter road. It's HUGE! No, huge is just putting it mildly...
