Joe Cool Weekend (Sept 7-9)

John I got breakfast covered tomorrow man. It'll be a feast.

I'm leaving as soon as Betsy gets here.

Josh has pancakes and cereal and stuff too. We'll be set.

I'll be there after work tonight, around 7-ish. Jen and I will heard for Maverick and catch a ride before we head back to the camper.

It'll be a fun time. I'm looking forward to relaxing a bit before I switch to midnights at the hospital. :)

Midnights? I just got off a year and a half of those buddy. They suck! :)

How did the Maverick ERT go? I couldn't make this, had to work until it was too late to go. Hope to hit MF tomorrow though.

By looking at the cleveland cam tonight the park is very empty.

I hope to make it sunday, if the weather doesn't look too bad. Maybe I"ll see some of you then

Well, when they let us in at the front gate they lady said that MF was opening. So everyone walked towards that way and it was not open. We all went to Maverick and it eventually openend about 4:30. I got 1 ride in and it started raining some and they closed it for about 10 minutes. Tony said they would give an additional half hour of ERT at 11 when the parked closed. I never made it back there after 11, anyone go?

That's too bad about the ERT yesterday. Hope you had a nice time anyhow.

How will the MF ERT work? Will it start exactly at 8pm or wait until the MF line from the GP comes to an end. The entire hour could be just one ride if we get in line behind the GP crowd.

Yes, we got the extra ERT after the park closed, but it got cut a little short due to the rain again. There were just enough people that we got to just sit in the train, and didn't have to get out (unless you were sitting in the front). Got 3 rides before the rain, and we were on the last train when the rain started. All in all I got 9 rides on Maverick last night, so it was a fun night.

Got 3 incredible rides on MF. It was flying last night.

Was disappointed that Dragster didn't open til very late, then we got seated in the train, out to launch, and it went down mechanical. They got it fixed pretty quickly, brought us back into the station to reset launch, then it went down due to weather. Didn't get to ride :(

For MF ERT tonite, ERT will start once they have cleared the regular line. But if the lines are as short as they were last night, we should be riding before 8:30.

Hoping the crowds today will be light. And hoping it doesn't rain the whole day.

I'm not pissed at anyone. I'm sure anyone here who knows me or has run into me on the midway will tell you I'm generally a pretty nice guy. I'm just not a big fan of seeing people take potshots at this site.

Anyway, it sounds like you don't hate all things PointBuzz, as some of our members are apparently fun to hang out with. Maybe this place isn't so bad after all. :)

Either way, the ERT was fun.. although I wish the rain woulda held off for the night rides.

I am so bummed that I am sitting at this computer & not on the beach or in line for TTD. Son number one ended up getting sick yesterday. ~sigh~ Maybe next week. I see all is booked for LHP already, so there went the idea of going there instead of Breakers. I just hope the first round of Halloweekends will not be as insane as Oct, crowd wise.

In the meantime, I'll live vicariously through your trip reports & head out to Walmart (ugh) :)

My Stepdad and I were two cars away from getting on Top Thrill went it was shut down, but they gave everyone who stuck it out a ride on Millennium Force and it was awesome. Fastest ride I've ever had and my 1st at night.

I hope you're all having fun. I was supposed to be there but am now home sick...It's killing me to know today was my last chance to go to the Point for the season. I start working weekends next week. At least I hope they have ERT nights again next year.

We were hoping to go to the MF ERT today, but things didn't work out. Did this ever happen? My last check on the webcam and NWS radar showed rain during the ERT. Did anyone get to ride?

We plan on going to the Raptor ERT and the rest of the day at the park for Sunday, hope the rain clears. We'll see...:)

MF was down, so we got ERT on Maverick instead. Of course, we got a little over halfway through when it started pouring again. That was a nice run to the front of the park.

We didn't get there until 6, and it was pouring. It stopped, and by 6:30 they had started running some rides. Between 6:45 and shortly after 9, we got a ride in on Wicked Twister, 2 on Skyhawk, and 5 on Maverick. Not too bad for my third trip this week.
