Its Over...

Another great year has come and gone. Even though this was my first year as a Screamster, I had a blast. I just want to thank all my fellow Screamsters for doing such a great job and working non-stop to scare the visitors. I look forward to scaring with you again next year (even though its so far away!!!) Take care and keep in touch!!!

Over?
Did you say over?

I think he means the scare zones.

Yes, I do mean the outdoor scare zones. Us Screamsters are done for the season.

So sad it's pretty much over. Can't wait for next year though!!

The season is 25 minutes dead. :(

Just got back from from spending Friday-Sunday. Great weekend with lots of coaster rides. Weather wasnt too bad for early November. Hate to see the season over already but my wife and I had a great season at the Point. We even ran into Dick Kinzel in the Soak City parking lot and had a few words with him as we were leaving this afternoon.

It would be bone chilling if someone were to play TAPS at the final ride of the season.

Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.

Wow, you can tell the season is really over when all the trashcans from the midways have vanished.
At least, the ones on the webcams.

yep, they start clean-up A.S.A.P. From what I heard, my zone (Terror Island) was already taken down by closing today!

^Doubt it, as of 9:20 when I flew back there while on MF (front row baby) most of the major sets were still up. Obviously though I didnt have much time to look it over in great detail ;).

The large items were still there, but most of the effects, lights, etc. were gone. I am guessing it was the same for most of the zones. Cornstalkers was pretty much empty of corn by 3.

I would pay to see this. Someone bring a trumpet next year.

They were packing up the fog machines in Fright Zone around 1pm, they wasted no time. It was a great weekend with nice weather. I got two rides on Skyscraper, hoped for 3 but 2 will have to do. Had a nice last ride on Magnum. Looking forward to next year.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

welcome to how it is every season jay and at least most of us worked non stop.

I am not sure what my plans are for next year.

Cedar Point was "really expensive" this year....

Gasoline was just incredibly painful @ $100 spent per visit to the point.

2 back 2 back days of just riding maxair, magnum, ttd, maverick, millennium force, skyhawk, gemini, power tower, and maybe wicked twister gets boring and by the time the water park opens up the park is pretty much getting in full swing and its really a gamble as to if the park will have slow lines.I consider staying a night but the reasons above make me debate if it will just burn me out and I will get bored with the park.

Nothing says like a waste of money like spending all that money on gasoline just to be confronted with 1.5 hour lines for the big three.

I need to make more use of my home park (MIA) I think to improve the value of the pass.

I am interested to hear what parks will receive for upgrades. Additional themeing / retheming areas, updating facilities, and the future of Cedar Fair with the economy in the state that it is.

Who knows what kind of expansion Cedar Fair can afford with the economy. If we cannot get a flat or two at some parks that need it than at the very most I think theming and facility updates should be done.

The park did make some nice gestures to incorporate Peanuts in to the park more, and maybe they will do this in other parks.

I think a little can go a long way with themeing and facility updates. Also I wonder how the hibachi restaurant went over in Breakers. Did it hit it off?

I hope to hear some news.
