You people are ridiculous.
The topic creater isn't lying. There is something there. Now, I don't know if it's a footer or not, but I see it each time I ride MF.
Next time you ride MF sit in a seat on bayside and when you get to the 3rd overbank look down. You'll see a concrete slab with circles that look like rebar should be coming out of them. It's not a gravel pit. I saw it before someone told me to look there and I still see it everytime I ride.

I support the idea of this footer on millie island!!! When the annoucement comes and it shows it going into other areas of the park, what will u pointbuzzers going to feel like? I hope you all feel like a bunch of male donkey's.
People who wants to flame me go ahead, it proves that you are nothing but male donkeys. (i would put what a male donkey is but I would get warning points)
here is a link for all who do not think this ride is not going into other areas: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donkey

Hey Loopy, It might as well come down here to New Castle too. I saw some construction workers on 60 today. Maybe they weren't road constuction workers as I originally thought but the workers for P07. lol. Josh, I believe you. After all, you rode MF over 50 times so far. I'm going to look for it next time.
ok- noobs, first you cant insert rebar into concrete that is already poured. Rebar's purpose is to give the concrete tensile strength. Inserting rebar in a drilled hole would allow the rebar to float around while the concrete breaks.
Another thing- has anybody witnessed a cement company pour cement? Likely it is the wash out from the truck- the truck needs to hose out the last bit of remaining cement and dump it somewhere inconspicous on site before it dries in the truck. Likely, an island in which there are no pedestrians/customers to notice would be ideal.
Second, this site is filled with immature people- many on this thread and I have called you out on it before. Grow up.
I'm fairly certain it has been there since Opening Day, atleast. Take a look and see if maybe it appears to be a larger version of this...

They're everywhere in the park and literally "in" the midways. I think they're for some sort of electrical conjunctions.

Geez, this is turned into an interesting conversation to a nasty "female dog" fight. All the topic creator was trying to point out was that there is a footer there, and maybe spark some DECENT conversation about what it's there for. Not to get flamed. Chill out on him, and add something worthwhile to the topic. Notice, this topic was created under the "General", not "Project 2007".
My viewpoint is that it was either a test site for cement for SOMETHING (probably not P2007), or an error of some type. *** Edited 8/16/2006 11:06:13 PM UTC by RyanNRobert***

^ I dont see the supposed lone footer in that pic, perhaps you can tell us/me where to look.
Also did anyone see the cement truck there today? It seems that a cement truck on site would indicate new footers being poured. I think it was around 5ish that i saw it there.
^Thanks I see it now, though that doesn't look like a footer to me. More like a random slab of concrete. That may be why I never noticed it before.
Walt, when is that picture from?
Also, I'd like to apologize for my lack of knowlege of cement pouring. When asked if there were rebar mounted in the footer, of course I would naturally assume that the rebar is mounted into place before the cement is poured to keep it there, but then again I am not a construction worker or know very much about this stuff, I learn from spectating.
And originally I had intended this to be for Project 2007 but I guess a certain someone disagrees with me and decided to move it here ;).

if it was a footer it would have some Rebar sticking out, and would not have a BIG even crack around the whole thing.
Thats like Saying that P 2007 will go through a tunnel under the lagoon to get to the island, its just not going to happen..
Another Rumor put to rest.
^ Yes you are right, that is exactly what it looks like, just larger.. *** Edited 8/17/2006 5:34:51 AM UTC by wwrgsww***

It's from the aerial photos of August 5.
Looking at that pic- it doesnt even come close to a footer- walt's right, likely a hatch covering some utility access point such as electricity.
I thought we more than settled this...
