I'm not sure why this hasn't been discussed more, but there's been a footer on Millennium Island for months now.

That was from Walt's aerial pictures from May 28th. Here's the whole picture:

Now, I'm not sure exactly how long it's been there or why we haven't seen more. I'm taking it that if there's going to be construction on the island that most of it will happen during the offseason.
I just thought I'd point that out, because I really haven't seen anyone else say anything about it.

Because there's no way to tell if thats a footer, a pile of gravel or one of Millenniums footers. I think you need to go wake up some more before posting again.
First Sunday's in the middle of the week, now you're seeing empty footers on Millennium Island.

Goodbye MrScott
John
That's where the statue of Kinzel is going to stand.
When he said he was "going out with a bang" when he retired, that's what he meant.
Your close exit, it's actually where DK is going to get burried when he dies. Right under his beloved Millennium.:)

I know it's a footer because I rode Millennium Force 51 times in the last 3 months and other people concurred.

I think if you wake up a little more you might quit being such a jackass to other members. Seriously, are you gaining anything out of being so rude to people? Its just a forum, where people are expressing opinion on rides and reporting things they might see, so if you don't agree, just chill, because its really not hurting anyone.
And if you can't take jokes why don't you just leave. My comments were not directed at you. If you don't agree, just chill because I'm not really hurting anyone.

Wow man, maybe you should stop being so rude to people when they were just joking around with the other person.
Maybe you shouldn't stick your nose where it doesn't belong.

I know he's just messing with me about a thread that was just closed where I posted something about Sunday being in the middle of the week. I know there's no hard feelings ;). There aren't any, RIGHT???
But anyway, even if it's not a footer, it's something because it wasn't there last season. If you look at the Windows Live Local from last year (sorry it's directed at WWL I don't know how to change it) it is not there.

My best guess is that its just a gravel pile. I haven't seen it in person, but that makes the most sense. I don't know why they would have poured one footer on the island, since if the ride is going there, it would need more than one footer. It doesnt' make any sense to have poured one then stopped.
The easiest way to tell would be if it has the rebar/bolts coming out of the top of it.
Goodbye MrScott
John
I'm pretty sure that it actually doesn't, but it has holes in it for future placement of the rebar/bolts. Does that make sense?

Not really.:)
Those would have been put in as the footer was being poured.

No, it doesn't. I would imagine that rebar that is "inserted" into concrete after it has cured has much less strength (if any) than rebar that is put into concrete when it is wet.
Jeff Young
It is possible that it was a footer that didn't meet spec when it was poured (i.e. someone fugged up) and they scrapped it by dumping it on the island. Not my first choice of dumping grounds, but it may just be temporary and will disappear after the season.
Goodbye MrScott
John
OK, let's say it is a footer for the new ride.
I'm just curious as to how the ride will get to the island?
Over buildings and through CCMR?
Come on, seriously, if it's going to the island then it's definitely a 500 ft tall 17 inversion coaster.
Hell, it may even come all the way to Sharon, PA if that's the case. I saw them clearing some land and pouring cement in an open lot the other day.
