I agree that it doesn't really make sense why they would pour one footer and stop. I don't even think the object in question looks like a footer in the links above. It looks more like a pile of gravel to me. Still I will look for it the next time I ride MF.

It looks like a triangular pile of gravel to me. But it IS a nice observation, Top Thrill Dragster; I'm glad you're paying attention...even if it is a pile of rocks!! Tee Hee

I'm kidding with ya....

It does look triangular. I'm not really aware with all the types of footers out there, but I haven't seen many that are as triangular as the picture above suggests.

It's actually rectangular, the picture just shows it at a weird angle.

And I can guarantee you that it is not a pile of dirt, it is a concrete slab.

I'd think they would want to put the green train memorial over the lake... ;)

It's a footer for when they extend TTD to the Inamin track by Mean Streak.

Ok, lets just imagine that that is a footer for Project 07, Just how long would the coaster be? or maybe its for a different ride? But anyway if thats a footer its a screwup.

Hell, it may even come all the way to Sharon, PA if that's the case. I saw them clearing some land and pouring cement in an open lot the other day.

;)

Well then, might as well just keep going and have it come all the way over to O.C. too! haha

That "footer" is like, underneath MF's banked turn and between supports, I don't see how you could fit much of anything in there.

Maybe it's a footer for Project 2010!!!! They figure, we started so early for Project 2007, we might as well not procrastinate, and go ahead get crackin' for 2010!!! ;)

Obviously the footer is a new footer to help stabilize MF, because it's sinking.

Yea its not a footer for the new ride, "the holes for the rebar" that can't work rebar must be placed as the concrete as its hardening so it can stay in place. *** Edited 8/16/2006 7:13:32 PM UTC by Kris_09***

Please don't attack me, but I remember a month ago when a member on PointBuzz (not sure who) had pictures of land clearing, tree markings, and flags all over Millennium Island.

It's against the rules to take photos while riding. Even if he did risk taking pictures, he wouldn't be able to post them on here.
