maXair is indeed operational, but there are still a lot of things that need to be fixed, the biggest issue is parking. For some reason (I haven't bothered trying to get the details) the gondola does not park properly, in that seats 1 and 50 aren't the two middle seats on the load side. I am not sure if it is still parking "randomly" or if the program is parking it in a regularly wrong position now, but at least it is hitting "home" as far as vertical parking goes.
As for the parts taking so long to arrive, well, it is a rather funny story from what I know and have heard. Let's just say that people at fabrication plants in Detroit don't like getting instructions in German.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
Yes, seats 1 and 50 are the seats in the middle of load, directly in front of the op when parked properly. That is why they always line up seats 1-25 on the left side of the load platform, and seats 26-50 on the right. Seats 25 and 26 are the middle seats on unload. With an improperly parked gondola, it has to be pretty confusing for both the guests and the ops, or more likely infuriating for the ops dealing with the guests who don't know their numbers.

I know, and its bad enough when the gondola is parked properly, but when the numbers aren't where they should be...

maXair was down as of my leaving the park at around 6:45 tonight, though it was up and running a few hours before park closing last night. Also, as of last night, the gondola was still not parking correctly from what I saw on the midway while taking pictures. Just because your seat stopped in the same spot as when you started, doesn't mean that it is actually parked in the correct position. Until the ride is reprogrammed, it won't park correctly. Its idea of "home" has been somewhat permanently messed up.
