is it fun, any parties? whats it like living there n such?

Phil...to reiterate from my previous post...

"Also for a "non bar" setting, the ESD (Employee Services Department) plans several great events on a nightly basis including volleyball, movie nights, ride nights and the annual "Big Bash"."

--------these events are based on what has worked in the past and the Employee Services Department is ALWAYS interested and open to new suggestions/ideas should you have any.

If these options don't interest you (and why wouldnt they?), you could always head out of town to experience nightlife in a larger city like Cleveland or Toledo.

As a "newbie" to cedar point...what is the "Big Bash"

I was a "fresh meat" last year. So, the Big Bash is where, after the park closes, the open up a section of the park of us employees for a chance to laugh, play some games, and have some fun.

Oh yeah, the also have a HUGE prize giveaway. Last year, the gave away DVd player's, iPods, even a couple of digital cameras!

Underage drinking is illegal and you will be terminated if caught drinking on Cedar Point property. No ifs, ands or buts about it. Same goes obviously for drug use or similar illegal activity.

I know plenty of people that got underages last summer that never got fired, one had multiple.

And coming to work with a hangover, that only happens to lightweights that can't handle thier alchohol the night before.

ha haa king oflouis knows whats up, you shouldnt be drinking if youre going to feel it the next morning especially not at a job.

The real lightweights are the one who can't handle life without a drink, or have fun without a drink.

Amen Brother! I only went out drinking once or twice, and that was IF I WASN'T WORKING the next day.

I blew most of my money on DVD's and eating out. Oh yeah, the occasional road trip to Geauga, Clevland, or Toledo.

Okay.... if you want to know what working at cedar point is like... think college without studying or books or homework... but you actually HAVE to go to class (work) and pay attention!

I don't ever recall being around you at the park, however, I will talk down to any moron who posts pictures of them drinking when they admit to being underage in their profile, and also admit to going into work hungover on the internet for all to see.

I'm sure potential employers 20 years down the road would love to know about that. And with the power of the internet, they most likely will.

Slam!

Haha, thanks dad! I've waited for last ride on Millennium Force with your group on many occasions including closing day. Now I get what ereryone was talking about this summer. Your a real tough guy behind your keyboard bud, see you in two weeks.
