I still think that TTD was a mistake, but not bigger than Dispatch Master Transport. The only mistake? Taking out so many trees for a ride that may look nice, and is fast, but with so much downtime, it does not seem worth it. I only waited for TTD once, and that was before the line opened right at 10:30ish, and promptly left after 10 minutes to go ride Magnum since the ride was not going to open for another few hours, as the line workers said. *sigh* I miss the trees and Trokia in its old position...
Yet it continues to draw huge crowds from all over the country. I doubt Cedar Point will ever consider Dragster a "mistake".

Does anyone know what the problem is with Dragster?
It's currently closed for some reason or another but nobody but Cedar Point's maintenance and high-up employees know what's really wrong with it.
Thanks S2Kster. I was curious if anyone at the park yesterday saw people working on Dragster either on the launch track or hydraulic room. The webcam didn't appear to show much happening on Dragster so that is why I wonder if this is a really big problem in the hyraulic room that will lead to lengthy down time.
I got my first Top Thrill Dragster ride on Sunday the 15th. I got in line for it at around 9:45 AM and rode it at about 10:30 AM. That ride is amazing! It was the first ride for my mom, dad, brother, and me. I can't wait to ride it again!
October 13 - Finally!
Top Thrill Dragster - 15
Millennium Force - 15
I went with the family this weekend (May 21st) and we got on Dragster three times (brother in law got on four times) and it ran great. I don't think that it was down once all day, and never saw a roll-back while I was in it's vicinity. I think the crew did a good job all around. We were counting about 60 sec. between launches, I don't know what's considered good. We waited each time about an hour and 15 min. Got on once with the parent-swap pass. Those work great, by the way, and the crew was great about it, just let my wife and me right back on and sat us in a train before it rolled up to load.
So for what it's worth, it ran great on the 21st, and there was a pretty good crowd that day; it never got a break.

It sounds like the ride is running great this year other than its little mishap last week. When TTD runs, it runs well, when it runs bad, well... it doesn't really run at all.

That is correct Gomez Been Open 16 days and was down for what three days but all the other times i have been there except for opening day it has ran great and the crue is getting better and better every time keep it up guys
I was there Sat. May 21st and I didn't see the ride go down once all day. It was nice to see, and made me semi-optimistic they have it running pretty good finally.
Cedar Point rocks my socks.
Wow...that is great news. After hearing of Kingda Ka's reliability I was hoping Cedar Point would get TTD running consistently.
Coaster Count: 147
I was there today and around 3 it got really windy and cold and Dragster stayed open. I was really surprised because the amount of wind there was, it did go down a few brief times but it was up and running very quickly.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

I can not believe how many times and days that TTD has been down and its just the start of the season. This is going to be a bad season if this things to come. Isn't anyone else sick of see TTD broken down all the time. They said that in the paper due to maintance that TTD WOULD be up and running much better this year, well it so far hasent. The Crew really needs to get their act together and get this problem fixed so that we can enjoy TTD!!!!!
Boy are you wrong. First off the crew has been doing a fine job. It's not their fault!
And second, DON'T START SPECULATING ANYTHING!! It's only the BEGINNING of the season. Rather or not Dragster will be running better this year is too early to tell. So far people who have been to CP have said it has been running really good. Dragster has and will always have downtime so get over it.

I can confirm it ran great on the 23rd too. until of course the wind and rain started. I left shortly after, but when it was running they were launching about every 60-75 seconds it seemed.
