Hi, I was just wondering if the ttd was running any better this year then last year.
Please answere my question...Thank you
It is to soon to answer that question. however i seem to think that TTD is running great 41 rides in 4 trips, dont think i had those type of numbers that quick last year. As the year gose on and the crew will see more of its ups and downs i think that if down time can be avoided that it will. i have faith in Cedar Point and the crew, to keep it up more this year.
It's hard to tell, but I'll admit that it's downtime wasn't too bad on opening day. It'll (hopefully) get better as the year and goes on and the weather gets better.
2nd opening day, it didn't run with people until about midday, and then I only saw it run a handful of times. I didn't even attempt to wait; I missed the other rides too.
Drink Milk. Goto Cedar point. Love Life.
"I listen to station music on my walkman"
It ran like crap today and yesterday. Sprinkles were the problem yesterday, until it went down for mechanical last night around 6:00pm and never opened again before close.
That thing is really pissing people off.

I'm to the point where I don't even care anymore with this ride. It's an amazing ride, but it's not worth waiting in line for for 2 hours only to have it break down when you're right at the station entrance (happened to me last year!). Between the many weather limitations and the constant mechanical problems the ride is open so in-frequently that I don't care about it anymore. I'm scared to get in line for it anymore because I'm afraid I'll end up just wasting my time when it breaks down...
Cedar Point rocks my socks.
That happened to me last night. Yeah, I had ridden it a few times on Friday, but my niece and sister in law tried 3 times yesterday and never made it. Last night, we waited an hour and 45 minutes, through weather and countless breakdowns until it shut down for the night. I'm still not happy about that and I've ridden it countless times.
This ride is headed for the champ of the biggest mistakes Cedar Point has ever made. Maybe even bigger that Disaster Tranport.
Pathetic.

I wouldn't exactly call DT a mistake. More like a good idea poorly executed and maintained.

SorryCPMatt, Disastor Transport was/is a mistake. The man that gave the finial call on that desicion has said so many times.
But, just like Dragster, it still sucks. Mr K. shouldn't even CONSIDER leaving, until he cleans up his mess. I'm not saying that he hasn't done great things for CP and it's vision, but messes one creates should be cleaned up before one leaves.

Mr.Scott I couldent agree more with you. There is NO exuse for the way TTD is running. Sure the first season it was things that had to be worked out and maybe even for the 2nd season. But by the 3rd. Come On.

101 on Magnum and counting...
I do want to mention the crew is doing outstanding. They are dealing with things well and being very courtious. But, that will only last so long. Can you imagine how difficult it must be for them? The countless repeted questions about downtime?
My hats off to them, they are on the front lines.

Well said MrScott. I can't imagine sitting around all day when it breaks down and hearing people countless times saying "When's it going to open?" It would drive me insane. I mean it is an amazing ride and everything but you can never depend on it. There are people coming from miles around to ride it to find it closing every 5 minutes. I remember once in its opening year me and my friend got in line and it broke down twice. We ended up wating 5 and a half hours. It took 5 to get to the station and the worker told us to get in line for the front seat which took another half hour. We just thought "we waited this long we cant get out now" But seriously they should have gotten all the kinks out by now. It's getting rediculous. I was there today and it broke down in the afternoon I think a little after 12 oclock. We were by it around 3 and they tested one and it rolled back. That was the only test after it broke down and around 6 all the workers had left the station. They have given up.
On another note...why does everyone think that Disaster Transport was a mistake?
For gods sakes people, the parks only been open for 10 days!! Give Dragster a break! Just because it's not working perfectly don't start crying about it. Dragster's not perfect and might not work as flawless as some of you want so just be glad it's there and that you have a chance to ride it. Plus, you're always taking a chance when you get in Dragsters line so if you're afraid of getting in it THEN DON'T!!
Just give it a couple of more weeks and allow for better weather, which hasn't been to good. Don't forget that weather has a major affect on how Dragster runs.
I can understand how frustrated some of you are but....WHAT CAN YOU DO. Just don't ride it if you're afraid of waiting for nothing. The only thing I can suggest is too hit it EARLY in the morning so you're not wasting time hitting it later in the day. Plus your chances are higher of getting a ride early in the morning since it's a shorter wait.
P.S. RUN if you have to!! ;)
The ride is currently closed according to the status page.
TTD wasn't a mistake, it was Intamin's mistake on building such a complex ride. The ride fits into the park well and attracts a crowd whenever it is open. What other rides attracts crowds of nonriders, just to watch it? During my visits to CP I've become very lucky with little downtime, but I don't expect the ride to be open every day.

I just do not know what to think anymore. I love the ride, but the downtime makes me rather angry. I only get to make one trip to the Point per year, and I *need* to ride it when I am there. I am willing to wait for a few hours, but then I miss out on many other great rides..ugh! It is a love/hate relationship, if that makes any sense.

I still think that TTD was a mistake, but not bigger than Dispatch Master Transport. The only mistake? Taking out so many trees for a ride that may look nice, and is fast, but with so much downtime, it does not seem worth it. I only waited for TTD once, and that was before the line opened right at 10:30ish, and promptly left after 10 minutes to go ride Magnum since the ride was not going to open for another few hours, as the line workers said. *sigh* I miss the trees and Trokia in its old position...
