Wicked twister has been down twice and stopped a few times one day, Maverick runs every time I go BUT it stops every 1 or so hours for 2 hours basically proving pointless to get in line if you will get stuck in the line anyways. And Maverick has also been down 2 times I went for the day. Obviously not proving Intamin is bad, but mechanical issues are bound to happen more than on any other ride manufacturer. I like a Inamin ride better when its working than a B&M any day. (minus shoot the rapids)
The biggest thing I seem to be surprised at is that noone is really saying anything regarding the fact S&S Sansei (Arrow) aren't building this. That's the biggest shock, and also a large disappointment. Between this and the Batman 4D deal I really was hoping for a return by S&S Sansei.

The Orlando Eye Ferris Wheel opening was delayed almost a full year, and Intamin didn't build that.
Yes, Intamin did indeed design and build the Orlando Eye. Click the link and refer to the second news story down the page.

The media was also all over MF and TTD, which are both phenomenal rides. I like the elements that Intamin brings to the table, I just wish they were way more reliable than what we have seen from them for the last 15 years. I can just imagine how many delays with the opening of this "polar coaster" we will see, and how much mechanical downtime it will have when its operational.
But it seems they don't do much internal testing before putting it on the market or they over engineer it. 12 years later, TTD is about as good as it's going to get as far as uptime goes. I only went on it 2 out of my 8 visits this year. I don't want to wait any more than 20 minutes for it, because it's almost guaranteed to go down. Once this year, what should've been a 25 minute wait turned into an hour and a half wait because of downtime. Maverick has gone down while I was in line more than once this year and there have been broken seats on it since the beginning of this year. MF is the least complicated out of their rides, which is why it's uptime is good. But, you would think STR is a simple ride, but they botched it big time.

^^Very true, and I think that is what makes some of the Intamin rides to be considered the best in the world, but also what causes the issues on others as they attempt what hasn't been done before. B&M on the other hand sticks with coasters only and makes improvements on the tried and true methods that they have, only adding new things as the technology has been proven. These are not bad things, just a completely different attitude and method that they have which has obviously worked very well for them.

Yepper, heck that new polar coaster might even up with as much mechanical downtime as Millenium Force, imagine that.
With the exception of MF, Intamin has produced a bunch of coasters that experience way too much downtime. TTD, Maverick, Shoot the Rapids, WT, Kingda Ka, Volcano the blast coaster, ect... The most reliable coaster they do have at CP is Wilderness Run 😉😉 I never bashed the ride experience nor will I as I agree that Intamin seems to push envelopes that no other dare push.
P.S. When did I ever say that MF was unreliable?
