For no new major rides 2004 is becoming a very exciting year. I like to see the park improve itself by making it look nicer. I can't wait!

Cedar Point, Absolutly Amazing!!

Yes...from the webcams it looks like they re-surfaced the Breakers parking lot....and it looks like the lines were repainted on today.

The lights on the ID lift hill are usually off, atleast when I ride. Just about all of the rides has lights on the lift hill for saftey. But, not all of them use them. I don't remember seeing lift hill lights on MF either...or I'm just blind. As far as I know, the ID *DOES* slow down by design, it all adds to the overall effect of the ride, expecailly if you have never ridden it before :P
MF doesn't have lift hill lights in the usual sense. It has those spotlights under the lift hill that point upwards and cycle colors.

I don't think the paint issue matters too much, but as coaster nuts who go to the park fairly often, you tend to see the finer things about the rides, so you find more to comment about.

I think it needs a new paint job but it doesn't affect whether I will ride or not.

CP is always working on keeping the park clean and updated so if they haven't painted it, I wouldn't worry about it. When they feel they need to paint it, they will.

I just have one question. Why did CP not paint the trains on ID? I think they look out-of-place, like Wildcat's cars.

I happen to like WildCat's new color, but I think a matching style on the cars would really add to the look.

I also like Wildcat's colors, I just think leaving the cars the old colors looks jsut wrong, same as Iron Dragon.

I was wondering if they painted the trains...hmm blue trains with a red and orange track, someone call queer eye for the straigh guy and get them to fix it :P
The iron dragon trains do have orange/yellow flames on the first car. It doesn't exactly make them match but it does help. It would look better though if the flames were on the first 3 or so cars instead.
I thought I'd like ID's new paint job until I saw it. It's not that I don't like it, but it's tough to get used to.

I contend that CP is planning to retheme the ride to "The Great Pumpkin". All it needs is suspended pumpkin cars on the trains.

OldCPer, that's actually not a half-bad idea.

I personally love the new colors, soaring through the tiny bit of woods that are left with just green and the "orange" supports is great.

I really like the new paint job Iron Dragon has. It looks funny though when your on top of Power Tower looking down on Top Thrill Dragster and Iron Dragon. Up close though it's like the dragon has come back to life.
