I was at the park for a couple of hours on Sunday as well. I knew it was going to be hot, but didn't think it would be unbearable. I was wrong.
I arrived around 2pm, and was told the Soak City lot was full. The main lot was less than half full. I figured the lines would be short, and I was right. TTD was about 15 minutes, Raptor was less than 15, WT was pretty much walk on. When I got in line for TTD it had been down (not sure how long). First aid was attending to someone, I'm guessing it was heat exhaustion, but not sure. Even with the short lines, I was just miserable, and decided to head out. I should have taken a picture, but the marquee as I was leaving the park showed 101 degrees at about 4:30 or so.
Yes, the heat index takes into account the temperature and dewpoint. But the dewpoint will tell you how muggy it is. It can be 79 degrees in the morning with a dewpoint in the lower 70's. The heat index won't be impressive, but it'll feel really "heavy" outside.

Man, you all are lightweights. I golf in that type of weather all summer long down here in South Florida.
Suck it up!
(Now, if it drops below 70 then I'm the lightweight.)

Sunday late afternoon, the sign at the Breakers Express said 101. The outside temp reading on my car computer, which is VERY accurate and is measured in the shade, said 97 degrees. So, yes, it was unbearable on Sunday.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
