Idea on L-TH-B theory

I have to admit that right now all signs point to a one element L-TH-B coaster. I would prefer that it be a coaster with more than one element however right now it doesn't appear to be that way. Either way I'll be waiting in line next season to ride just like the rest of us. The only thing that interests me, or steers me away from the L-TH-B theory is the fact that they started construction so early. I can't figure out why, if it's only one element, they would start building this thing before the season was over. There's the "it's too cold to be topping off a 400+ coaster in the middle of january" explanation, which explains why they started with the tower first. I can't explain why they started so early other than their might be more to this that we have been led to believe. I think that once the park closes for the season we might start to see more steel showing up and some real work starting in the park. This is the only thing that has kept me from the L-TH-B theory. From what we see now, L-TH-B is the only thing that would possibly work, but maybe after the park closes we'll see some more. Either way this will be one hell of a ride.
Simple. Free word of mouth--"OMG! Look how huge that thing is!"--advertising
Anyone who is there to see it will be back next year regardless. Anyone who is a coaster fanatic already knows about it. CP has already had a ton of word of mouth advertising because of Millie. I don't think much more can be done to spread the word about CP. People would come ride it from all over if they hear about it now or if they hear about it in February. I don't think CP has any troubles with advertising. It will be all over the news. I remember when Millie came out it was featured in our local news. Hell, they even did a special on Cedar Point on our local news because of Millie. So I don't think CP decided to build this thing a few months early just so people could stand and look at it. CP has always worked up til the last minute on their new rides. They don't just let em sit. Then again we all have our opinions on this thing and my opinion is no more correct than anyone elses. This is just my take on things. Take it for what it's worth, if anything. Ha. But like I said, either way, we'll all be there to ride it, regardless of what it is.
I have a qustion but it is off the topic but how will the people give us the new photos when the park is going to be closing on the 27. How will they give us new photos, or will they let them in to take photos or will those people who take photos at the point be done with the project? can someone tell me what they will do about the new photos in they arn't allowed in to take photos.
I was talking about the people that don't know about the coaster and are just going to CP for HalloWeekends.

I have a feeling that CP has been documenting the construction with photos, and when they announce the ride, they will release the photos as well as any promo videos. Hopefully they will announce it fairly soon after the end of Oct., but if they don't perhaps they will let Walt in the get some more pics...

I really hope this one has a promo video in the works. I was kind of disappointed with WT's lack of promotion.

But, c'mon... what am I saying? How can you NOT hype a 400+ coaster?

Hmm...i was just looking at This pic...notice the track far down near the tower is lower than the supports that are in a really straight line pretty much all the same height...if you look really closely, this track is lower than they are.

Yup Big D... I think this might illustrate your point even better.
That's for the brake run. Intamin's brake run doesn't utilize the full box track, it's pretty much just the top running rails. Take a look at either Millennium Force or Xcelerator's brake runs to see what I'm talking about. Those supports need to be a little taller for it to line up.

I dont agree with the l-th-b theory.

Has cedar point ever accepted an idea without making it better?

Wicked Twister- DOUBLE spiraling impulse

Millenium Force- 300 ft tall coaster.

I seriously doubt that cp would KILL the rocket coaster craze that has just begun with a short length.

Short length rocket coasters are for knotts berry farmers. (no offense)

I've ridden that short length rocket coaster; see my trip report. It was great.
I was just wondering a couple of things and would like your input on this.

Look at this picture again. I'm not talking about the launch/brake runs (or what appears to be the launch/brake runs), but I'm wondering about all the footers that are in between the two. If it is L-TH-B, then the only thing that I can think of that would go here would be the station, but then why would the station be placed there? It would make for a pretty weird station setup wouldn't it? Unless I'm mistaken, the train would have to turn left from the brake run and come into the station, turn around and then leave from the same end and make a left turn onto the launch run.

Is it possible that these footers could be used for the supports of another tower, explaining where that "one support that no one seems to know what it is or where it goes" could end up going?

Since they are all spaced so closely together, I'd have to guess that they will be for transfer track, or it is for a wide station. My money is on the transfer track.

this is for forcedude04 there is a coaster that is 285 ft its in japan in the center of tokyo see this

unlucky! so stop picking on others if you dont have the facts

I'm sorry that I didn't remember to include those under construction that I'm not that famaliar with yet for that reason. Anyway, DJ said multiple 285' coasters, not just one.

the only real reason that means no L-TH-B that i have is if the ride was going to be that simple, why start construction so early???
Denial. It's not just a river in Egypt.
If all it is is a L-TH-B then why didn't they just put a top hat on WT?
I wish I could answer that, Jwhoogs, but I can't. 'Dragster' is L-TH-B, and that's my final answer. ;-)

I agree jwhoogs. I think this will be a little more than a L-TH-B. Why did they even bother with WT last year then. It would have been better putting a wooden coaster or a large Wild Mouse where WT is.
