I wonder if they will fix the queue...

Unlike the other coasters, the special access line does merge with the regular line at the ramp up. There is noting there to say why the people get to go to the near front of the line.

They probably did not want the special access people to just go up the exit because everyone else is heading the other way. Magnum has this problem, it takes a while to get a wheelchair up the ramp because of the near constant of people heading down the ramp.

Most special access people load in the unload station on Millennium Force.

...Although the exit ramp on Millennium Force only carries half the exiting traffic from the ride because half the people exiting the ride go down the stairs.
I think the original idea was that the entire queue is wheelchair accessible. It is, but that doesn't account for all the reasons someone might need the special access entrance.

The way to solve the problem would be to have an attendant or security guard accompany the special access rider up to the merge point. I'd think it would be reasonably easy to implement, as there aren't huge numbers of special access riders each day, and there is usually a guard standing in that ramp watching over the queue anyway...he ought to be able to spare two minutes to facilitate a ramp merge...!

I think that the special access lines are a good idea, it allows those who are disabled toeasily access the ride. However, there is nothing that ticks me off more when i am at a park than waiting inline for an our to ride a coaster, only to see a few kids, one in wheelchair or something come up the exit ramp. Normally this would be ok, but when the kid in the wheelchair jumps up and runs to sit down in the coaster, and then a different kid gets in the wheelchair after their ride, it just really gets to me. It is these people that make actual disabled people have t deal with ridicule and grief, and IMO is one of the lowest things someone can do.

Ok, I'm glad to get that of my chest.

"Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience."

I was just at Six Flags Astroworld this past weekend, and they use the 'gum targets' at the entrances to all the rollercoasters, and the more intense rides (ie: Dungeon Drop). They actually do work, as I witnessed a few people dispose of their gum on the target.

They do not, however, have the 'oversized ashtray' at each queue entrance as Cedar Point does... which only increased the number of in-queue smokers. If you see it happen at Cedar Point once or twice per visit... that's nothing. There were at least two smokers per queue I stood in that day.

I knew Gum Targets worked well. Thanks Gravity. :) I was beginning to wonder if thre even was a park out there that still used them.

They worked in most of the queues, but the deep 'jungle' look of the Mayan Mindbender queue still had some gum trees. But as far as the rest of the park, they worked really well.

I did notice the lack of trashcans and ashtrays versus Cedar Point though. This is the first Six Flags park I've been to since I was old enough to remember going... and after getting used to Cedar Point's standards, Six Flags was really lacking in their first impression.

But, UltraTwister was way cool.. I'm glad I finally got to ride that thing. =)

Hmmm, I wonder if I should be concerned about the MF line. My wife will be spending time in a wheelchair this spring (surgery May 3). We did the wheelchair bit at PKI last time. Everyone was cool about it, however, the hills there can be a killer, especially at Top Gun.
You all think gum is gross?? I remember while waiting in the Raptor line, I saw an open condom laying on the ground! UGH! Evacuate the area, please!! :( :(

Yah, I could imagine some of our wonderful CP sweeps have found some pretty disgusting things laying around the park. As for the MF line, I hate to see all the vandalism as you get near and even into the station. I went for AAA preview day in 2000, and all the rails and post were painted and looked great. I went again 1 month later and found that all the paint had been carved with graffiti, and was a pretty nasty sight. Now they have it covered with some grey hard plastic, but there is still a lot of vandalism along the wall in the front seat line.

Why do people do this to such a great place? It's there for everyone's enjoyment and they just want to destroy it! It makes me so angry, as I know others feel this way too. When I go to CP, I think of all what it's done and given to me. I RESPECT CP! :)

My brother said there was a carving that said, "I've stood here for 3 hours in the rain." as one inscription. Basicly, if the line keeps moving, they don't have time to vandalize.

CP is awesome and why do people do stupid things like the gum hallway on MS and the gum lawn on Gemini. Thats just dumb. Why don't they just respect the park because its nice and 3 million people come to CP a year and do they expect to see gum everywhere. NO! So people, why dont you respect the park and keep it clean so CP keeps attracting visitors

Do you think signs like this one at SFGA halloween event will help deter line jumping? LOL:)

The link works, but the pic won't come up. It says something about "This image hosted by Tripod".
