I Just Don't Get Some People

Ok, do not get me wrong but Cedar Point I agree is very clean, but I don't understand why so many people trash the parking lot. It just has a lot of trash in it at night when everybody is leaving. Can't those people wait and throw there trash out at the entrance! Why can't they just leave there trash in the car then until they leave... I just don't understand how somebody could litter like that!

It's the general attitude of "it's not my problem, it's theirs". Plainly put, people are a-holes, and most have no class. They think that just because someone is paid to clean up after them that it's their right to make as much of a mess as possible.

People do this all the time at clothing stores in the mall. They want a XXL shirt that's on the bottom of a pile, "oh well, somebody will re-fold all of these ::yank::"

It's also like the guy who ran me off the highway the other day on my way to work. I was already doing 80 in the left lane, and he was all over my back bumper. Simply put, if I'm already speeding and you're going to be a dick and ride my bumper, then you can deal with it. Well, he goes to dart around me but there's a car in the right lane, no way he can squeeze through there, right?

"I have a BMW 7-series, and this guy has a Honda Civic, there's no way he'll just sit there and take it if I merge right into him." Must have been the only thoughts going through his head because he looked at me and yanked his steering wheel over to the left, causing me to freak because he came within inches of my car, so I also swerved left, on to the shoulder. Keep in mind we're still going at 80 MPH, which all the cars were doing. What does he do after that? He flicks me off and stomps on his brakes in an effort to make me rear-end him. Came to a dead stop in the middle of 80 MPH traffic.

He eventually took off and I moved over, still shaking from someone almost destroying my car and not giving a s**t about it because he thought he was "beter than me" or he "owned the road".

People suck, man. Unfortunately all we can do is bitch about it, and they'll never change.

I found this topic not pointless at all...

Why didn't you roll him out wit yo gat y0!

Because that would be the most pointless and irresponsible thing I could ever think about doing.

Not to mention, it's pretty hard to drive and aim at the same time.

Dude, Exit, it hasn't been a good week or two for you, has it?

But, he's completely right. People generally don't care; it's not their responsibility. And many others are just too lazy to walk to a garbage can. It's sad, but it's not just at Cedar Point, it's the way of life in most places.

Doug, no man, it sure hasn't.

It's actually been a pretty insane couple of months, to be quite honest. Everything's slowly falling back into place, though. I just hope I hear from LuK at the end of next week about the job I interviewed for. :)

I hate people! haha.

I see it in school all the time. Kids tear the egdes off a piece of notebook paper and just throw it on the floor. I say, "Aren't you gonna pick that up and put it in the garbage can?!" And they say, "No! Its what the janitors get paid for."

That makes me so mad. Or even when they draw on the desks. My mom and I (during the school year) go up to my high school every night to work out in the Cardio Center and my mom is good friends with the janitors who work the night shift up there, and everytime we finish working out we go find them for a little talk. They're usually cleaning classrooms and it seems EVERY SINGLE TIME they are scrubbing like crazy to get pen off the desks.

People need to have more respect.

I can't stand it when people litter. I don't know why, but if I ever happen to drop something, I always pick it up and throw it away, and I do the same with friends. It's just a pet peeve, and I think it's so stupid when people try to show off by throwing their empty water bottles in a garbage, miss, and then don't pick it up. Every now and then, I pick things up for people and throw them away if they don't. :) I just don't see the point to throwing things on the ground when there's garbage cans everywhere in the park.

I couldn't agree more with Bodes, people really do need more respect. *** Edited 8/5/2006 9:06:40 PM UTC by coastergeek1***

Bodes, It's called job security. ;)

Driving and aiming is hard? speak for yourself ;)

I have a rule for myself: Everyday, I pick up at least one piece of public trash.

If everybody did this, the world would be a much cleaner place.

^ But Ben lives so far away from me, how am I going to pick him up everyday? ;)

I never understood throwing trash on the ground either. Here in the Caribbean, people throw garbage all over the place. Its disgusting. I just don't get it. These people live on an island - not a very big one at that. Do they not care the island is going to look like a$$??

The trash in the CP lot seems to be a lot from tailgaters. But, I still don't see why they don't bag it up and throw it away on their way into the park. Oh well.
