how to spend free time

this question is mainly for those of you that are returners, like myself (RAPTOR CREW 04 HOOKERS!!:) ) i know there was a topic like this already started, but hopefully there'll be a new take on this one, and that the newcomers can get a sense for what life is like outside CP (sometimes there is;) )...i was just curious to know what everyone did during their free time and their fave ways to spend days off...i know at the top of the list would be louie's, put in bay (for those of us that are 21+..and trust me, i spent a nice portion of my last month there;) ) and places such as cleveland, windsor, etc. but i was just wondering if you all had found like lesser known places, little getaways if you will...i'm soo excited to go back this summer, and i wanted to know if ya'll had found places that others wouldn't think to look, like quaint little towns or things like that. i spent days off at put in bay (with mantis brian, i spelled your name right this time), cleveland, at tower city and the indians games, kings island (with my raptor boy chadwick:) ), and of course, chillin at the park and soak city. and i think on one lucky occasion, i actually spent the time sleeping:)...and to those of you newcomers on raptor crew this year, feel free to get ahold of me, my IM screenname is willsmithsgal00 (that's two zeros) alright, lata hookers;)

Well, I never really went to far away from the point while I was having my fun, but I did have my fair share. I spent a buch of time at the greentree inn (which I was told will no longer be greentree as of this spring...) bowling alley, and I spent a fair amount of time playing that Trivia game at Buffalo Wild Wings. Of course, that was when I left housing. When I was hanging out in Commons, I was most likely in my room or, at least the apartment, hanging out, playing video games with friends. That was always fun. Just in case anyone cares, I am the reigning C.P. champion for all fighting games... Ok not really, but it is fun to say....
LOL... Have fun this Season, no matter how you choose to spend your free time...

free time eh? i'll say it again. sleep. couldn't get enough of it. my sleep schedule still isn't fixed from last season. to add a little more though. who could forget late night trips to meijer and wal-mart. or the best restaurant in sandusky steak and shake! (diana's let me down, their service just dive bombed to bad over the season)
also that one time we went out to whatever park that is freakishly early in the morning and just sat on the rocks feeling the lake breeze looking at the point, while everybody else made goofballs of themselves at the playground. that wierd little thing that spun around. definatly too intense for me.

but the best times would had to of been back in the appt. be it people cheatin at cedarpointopoly, two drunks beating the crap out of each other, while annoying 40 year old roomates, family guy DVD box sets, people fliiping furniture cause they couldn't watch their shows, pathological liars, and people you swear are vampires cause the only time you ever see them is at night. def. good times

i miss my 5 naps a day on weekdays between halloweekends

I remember that night at the park... That was an awesome night. And I remember the drunks beating each other up ( I had bruises for a week). I also remember annoying roommates, but not the 40 year old... It was this crazy guy that slept all the time and worked at Dragster Photo... He was always such a drag... But he had a car, so we tolerated him... I don't remember people flipping furniture, or the liars, or the vampires, but other then that, It was a very accurate account of the Apartment. 1006 will live forever!

cpgocarts03... who are you?! LoL!!! I was just wondering, because I accidently spent a fair share of my time in appartment 1006... even though I was told time and time again, not to!!! But while I was hanging out there... there were some pretty funny times. Anyway...

Free time...

I spent a lot of mine in the park!!! I love Cedar Point more than anything and any time that I could spend riding rides, I would!!! Went to Soak City once. PKI once...

Occasionally, I slept during the day... cause when people come barging in your room at 3am... telling you to get up... you can't sleep very well at night! :) It's all good though...

Never went to Louies... wasn't old enough. haha!

Well, this season will hopefully blow last season out of the water! I know I heard the second season isn't as good as your first, but I think it is what you make of it!!! :)

So, free time... fun fun... do what you want... relax, take advantage of the world's best amusement park... do whatever!!! :)

I heard about the second season being bad too...but with an awesome crew...i dont know...hopefully it will be good.

Anyway: free time...i spent most of my thursdays and sundays at louies. bw3s on wednesdays. hanging out with the crew was a blast...goin out to eat, and playing in the park. i did go to the park a lot, and it was great to relax on a split at soak city. and the best thing about free time in the morning? sleeeping! too many 7:15 wake up calls!

Oh man... I never hung out with my crew... It seemed us photo people didn't do much of anything. Maybe I was just too dull to do anything with! Haha!! No... I think this season will be a whole new experience!! YIPPIE!!

The second season is never as good as your first season, that is very true, I am goin on season four and nothing will ever compare to my first season.
BUt there are tons of things to do in your free time at Cedar Point. Put in bay you can enjoy even if you aren't 21. If you have a car you can travel all over ohio and see the sights. Some of my favorite trips over the summer are to Columbus and Kings Island :)

Don't forget about the famous tofts ice cream when your in town, you don't know what i would give to have some happy birhtday cake ice cream right now!

I'm sure it wouldn't have anything to do with the awesome Magnum crew that year, would it? ;)

Another food related thing in Sandusky that is cool is Chet and Matt's. It's fairly cheap and they have good pizza (lots of different varieties including Buffalo Wing and Cheddar!). I'm sure we'll be having a crew gathering or two there. King Kong anyone? :)

You know, I never once made it to Put-In-Bay last summer. So that would make my total P-I-B trips, uhm, zero. Yeah, never been.

Sad.

Hey all, i live around this area, but manage to still live in housing, which is soo much fun!

My free time at cp was/is spent mostly: @ louies!!, causing problems at the park and hanging out with some of my crew...OH and getting in trouble with the cops;) (hehe, right christy, kaite, and neil?) LOL

anyways...since i live around here theres not much new for me...i sse and do things around here everyday, so it gets boring for me...

If anyone knows of some really fun things to do, that i may not know about let me know! THanX!!

there are always fun things to do.......go to Put In Bay, or to play mini golf, or drive go karts with your friends, shop at the mall, try going to other parks, like PKI or SFWOA, take a day trip to Cleveland, see an Indians game, go to the Rock Hall or shop at Tower City......there are so many things to do in the area that CP is in....the key to reliving some mid season stress is to just get away from point even for just a day, to get away and have fun! And if all else fails there is one word for fun....L O U I E S

Cedar Point has DDR Extreme... There's plenty of free time wasting insanity right there (if you're not lucky enough already to have the home version -- in that case, you just haul it over to the Rec Center). ^_~

HAHA - You might just get fired before you even start working Jimmy. For anyone out there that golfs, is there any good and relatively inexpensive golf courses close by? Thanks!
Thunderbird is over in Huron and there are two courses there. Both are worth the money in my opinion.

There is something called Mill's Creek or Mill's Pond on the west side of the city. I never played there but it looks cheap. There is also Keys Golf just off of Rt. 2.

Look in the phone book because there are tons of courses around there (between sandusky and cleveland not sure about the toledo direction) most of the courses are nice and alot of them have a discount if you go later in the day which is nice.
