I'm from New York City. It's like 620 miles away so about 11-13 hours give or take. It's a good trip though, especially when I have the World's Best Amusement Park to look forward to!!

I'm sure your chances of dying in a plane crash are much higher than dying of radioactive fallout, at least statistics wise. There's really only been 3 major nuclear accidents in the history of nuclear power - Chernobyl, Fukushima and Three Mile Island.
And your chances of dying in an auto crash are much much higher than a plane crash.
Apparently we're teaching our kids to be scared of anything that might look, seem or otherwise feel scary.
Nuclear plants are extremely safe. One of my buddies has an internship at the Perry Plant about an hour and a half east of Cedar Point. He said it's safer to work there than at his previous job pushing carts in a grocery store parking lot.
Yes actually, my old teacher said we shouldnt move there in case anything happens, look its fun to be there for one day or more, living there even, but if there was a problem, what would u do?
Lol that was my old 6th grade teacher, she taught us not to go and said everybody who lives there is stupid. (Why would somebody go, people do but for no reason, lol cp is the reason I bet 75percent of the people go live there)
