Hours

Hey! I was just wondering how many hours most of you got this summer? The average each week. The reason I ask is because I didn't get many... between 35-45 hours a week.... usually under 40! Oh well, I guess that's just the way the cookie crumbles...

It seems like quite a lot of people showed up this summer, in all departments, so I think many got less hours than usual. My average was about the same - 35 to 45. I liked it like that. Towards mid-July, right before I had to leave, the hours really went up though, to about 60.
I got about 40-50 hours a week. Of course we got alot more hours at the beggining of the year and towards the end.

I usually got somewhere between 50-60 a week, I didn't have as many in May, but around mid-June they went up.

Across the whole summer, I averaged 72.5 hours. I had as little as 23.4 (which was my first week - not a full 7 days) up to 82.3 which was by far the busiest part of the season. It just depends on how much you are willing to work as well as what they need with staffing.

i got 70-75 hrs a week when i worked at fridays in the hotel breakers
Since I am still a minor I didn't get many hours. Because of the laws I could of only worked 40 hours a week maximum anyway. But, if I wasn't a minor I wouldn't be getting many more hours than I already was. It seems this year Merchandise people weren't getting as many hours as you could 2002.

I would have liked to get some more hours, but 80-some is crazy! I thought it was a busy week when I worked 60+. :)

Well most of the summer i got a steady 55-65 hours, but when i went to "help out" (a/k/a transfered without knowing it) in Games I Worked 7 O-C's on a 8 oclock close week and got 78 hours.... But some people like my roomate who was a double blue specialty location manager in foods worked 91 hours a week...

I averaged about 50 hrs a wk along with tips from working in housekeeping. I wasn't around much longer due to resignation for family reasons, but a 70 hr wk wouldn't hurt me. I worked a double one day, spent half the day at breakers express and the other half at my home hotel breakers. see ya all in 2004

Most of the summer, I got either high 50s or low 60s for hours. Overall I averaged a few less hours per week this season compared to 2001.

Brian you had an 82.3 hour week? I kept hoping I'd top 70 and never quite did it. Once I moved over to Mantis, I averaged just over 60 a week which more than covered all my expenses and such.

Sorry Browntggr, we don't recieve overtime for any hours worked over 40 every week. The reason is that we are seasonal help, and CP doesn't have to pay OT to them. They could but that would never happen. As to the longest shift worked....humm I think 14 or 15 hours would be mine.
The longest shift I worked was 56 hours. I was scheduled for 69.9 hours but got cut back the first day of the week. That was the week of July 4th, so everyone worked a lot. I had my only O-C that week and I got cut back about three hours before closing. I was a little upset about that. Maybe I'll get an O-C next season.

The shortest work week I had was in the mid 30s.

A 56 hour long shift? Thats over 2 days straight. :)

The shortest week I've had that I worked the usual 6 days in a week is 39 hours. The average for May and overstaffed June was about 50 hours a week. My average for July and August was about 70 hours a week. The most hours I've worked is 82
