And Knights Inn off point isn't bad whatsoever, stayed there a few times.
Unless they've remodeled in the last few years, I think it's a complete dump. Stayed there once. Never again.

See I get the king bed with the Jacuzzi, off season that room is dirt cheap lol, can't complain there.

We had the same room. Dirt cheap? Yes. Dirty, old, and loud? Yes.
Incidentally, that was actually the last time I tried to find a "good deal" on a hotel room. Staying there finally drove it home for me that there are certain things I'm not willing to compromise on to save a few bucks.

Right, we all have our limits right? Summertime comes and I choose to pour money into things like Fast Lane and other things, balancing that out by staying somewhere like Knight's Inn or Rodeway. Both are "lower stars" in relative terms to something like Hampton Inn, but I'm cool with that, because I just need a place for 8 hours to crash.
I could easily afford Breakers or Sandcastle, etc., but I simply choose not to do that.
I'd like to stay on point if the price matches the amenities. Like the Motel 6 down the road is fantastic and very reasonably priced.

I'm generally drawn to the cheaper hotels too. Would rather spend the money on other things when all I need is a place to short and lay down for a few hours. I've spent many a night at the Maples on Cleveland Rd. The trains don't wake me, so that's not an issue.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
I have found Knights Inn to be more clean than Bon Air/Routunda sections of Breakers, that's for sure. However, due to the convenience and nostalgia Breakers holds for me, I have no problem paying that extra money to stay at Breakers instead.
The Maples! One of the best motels anywhere! (Although Al and Sal's Motel, near Michigan City, Indiana, comes a close second in the motel charm race.)
When I'm on a coaster vacation, my main interest in accommodations is having a place to be unconscious for six hours.
I am sooooo glad I live less than 30-minutes from the point. I get to sleep in my own bed every night. I know it is clean and I know the bathroom is clean. Yes, I thank the Lord every time I make the trip.
