No it's people like you on here that whine and complain about almost everything just to get attention.

Intelligent criticism is more than welcome.

No, it's more like:
If you have only complaining and negativity to spread without balancing it with fruitful discussion...
...then don't post anything on this site. It's just that simple.
You strike me as someone who would hit themselves in the forehead with a hammer and then complain that they have a headache.
I just don't understand the mindset that leads you to pay $700 for a hotel room or spend $20 for 2 frozen yogurts if you don't think they're worth it.
As long as you continue to pay $20 for 2 frozen yogurts, Cedar Point will continue to sell 2 frozen yogurts for $20. Why shouldn't they? You're clearly willing to pay that price.
You can always stay at the scary looking motel a little ways down the street from CP that advertises "Color TV in every room!" I'm sure that's a lot less than $700 per night.
^ I know you're kidding, but some of the cheapie ones are not bad if you can't afford "$700" and just need a place to crash. Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger right?
^^ Yes, I normally stay at the Knight's Inn and it's pretty nice for how low the price is. I stayed at the Breakers Express last year on a Friday night for Halloweekends and I don't remember it being outrageously expensive. I believe it was around $85 - $90 with my Platinum Pass discount.
And yes, whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger.. And I wouldn't be surprised if someone actually tried to kill you in that "Color TV Motel." Place looks real sketchy.
WOW! Lol! A few comments on how I felt some things were overpriced, and it's a lynch mob. I'm well aware of how the market works. I received A's in both micro and macro economics in college. All I'm saying is with this recent hotel guest ticket price increase, I'm not going to go four times this season and stay at hotel Breakers. I'll never spend $20 on two servings of fro-yo again either unless it were to have vodka poured over as a topping. :) :) lol!
Same deal for a lot of us cutting back on our camping stays because of the increases. Wonder what effect this will have overall.
I will say 20 dollars for FroYo is pretty steep though :P
And what hotel rooms on point are 700? They had better have an ass kissing massage for that price lol

They increased the cost to camp?

Sorry. It just perplexes me how someone could be bothered by how "expensive" discounted admission tickets to an amusement park are getting.
The premise was this:
That's only $11 cheaper than buying them online. This used to be one of the perks of staying at hotel Breakers. The parking is free there and the tickets were significantly cheaper, which offset the room price.
Only 11 dollars cheaper, off a ticket that only costs 50 dollars to begin with. You're getting a 22% discount per ticket, which you are arguing is not significant.
It used to be a perk? It still is a perk, and the tickets are still significantly cheaper. Hence, there was a reaction.

Guess I'd refer you to the Camper Village threads. There is no "Electric only" now.

3 summer nights in a Breakers room can easily break $700. The same 3 rooms at Knight's Inn (which is honestly not a bad place) would be $150-$200.
Capitalism, it's a pretty cool thing.
I thought we were talking 700 a night, that's what I was thinking..
And Knights Inn off point isn't bad whatsoever, stayed there a few times. May even stay there this weekend, if not up at the Motel 6 up the row, both fantastic places.

I am so very old I remember staying at Hotel Breakers with my family; when we left our room we'd walk down the hall to a desk where a sweet little old lady (they were always sweet little old ladies) would take our room key (an actual key, on a plastic tag) and put in a slot on the wall. We'd retrieve the key when we returned.
So Breakers has a sentimental charm for me. Once or twice a decade I'll pony up to stay there, for old time's sake. But mostly I stay in a nice, cheap, decent hotel off property and buy tickets at a discount online or at Meijer.
