I'm looking to apply for a job at Cedar Point this summer and i was wonder what the chances are of me getting hired. I really would love to work there and get away for the summer.
I would reccomend hurrying up and applying ASAP for the best chance of getting hired. I applied only a few weeks back and got the call a couple days ago that I was hired.
Good luck. :)

Thanks! The only problem is that i'm 17 until March 17th, and it says that i'm not eligible for housing while my age is still 17. Do you think that theres any chance at all of me being hired then?
Yes, there definitely is. I was 17 when I applied my first season, and I turned 18 about 2 weeks before I came to the park. Because you will be 18 before the park opens, there will be no problem when you process in, because you will not be 17 anymore.

I'm just at a bit of a loss as what to do about the application thing. On it, it does not register that i'll be 18 before the park opens, so it doesnt put me eligible for housing, which i need. Is there anyone that anyone knows of that i can get into contact about this?
It will be fine. When you get your call about your interview just tell them the situation and they will be cool about it. My friend had the exact same problem and did just that.
Unfortunately, it wont let me continue in my application if i require housing and am under the age of 18. All i can really do now is wait til March 17th when i turn 18. I'm just worried that by then it will be too late and all the jobs will be filled up.
It won't be too late, don't worry. What are you applying for?

Honestly i have no idea what to apply for. Any suggestions? I would do anything to get away from my parents for a summer and this seemed like a good idea. Dont you need special training before you go if you want to operate the rides? I would be fine with being the person who goes and checks the seatbelts. Other then that i have no idea.
The best thing to do, is put that you're ok with any position in the park, this will give you the best chance of getting hired. You do have 3 choices, and can choose what department you'd like to be in first and then go from there. I'm in merchandise, and I really like it. Like everyone has said, you shouldn't have a problem with housing, since you'll be 18 by the time you process in. Good Luck!

Dont go foods. It sucks unless you get in a sitdown full service place like as a busser or something
I'm almost positive housing is a $20 deduction, weekly, from your checks.
Youc an pick whatever 3 jobs you want.

So I just submitted my application. I emailed HR and they emailed me back about housing telling me to finish my application and we can figure out the housing thing later. I said i wanted to be a ride host, a lifeguard, or a costumed character. I also said i would take any job they could give me. Hopefully i'll hear back from them soon and be an employee of Cedar Point!
Good Luck.

Thanks for the support guys! I really appreciate it. About how long is it until i hear from them? And if i dont hear from them should i call and ask if i got hired?
Lifeguarding is the worst job ever. You stand there all day, staring at people. Thats it. Its just horrible.

Good Luck , Rides is not that bad, just very warm and you look like a lobster at the end of summer especially if you work a flat ride.

Witches Wheel has a 54 inch height requirement, I don't care if your child rode Dragster, Magnum or, Millenium, they are not tall enough for this one!
