Yeah man, what were they thinking when they marketed this TV show to the general public instead of the 50 or so obsessives who have memorized even the most trivial aspects of the park?

The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.

^ I know, I realize who this was made for. It just seemed a little cheezy to me.

It's a nice change of pace to the shows doing all the fact spewing.

I agree Zach, the show just seemed a little too staged and cheezy. It was deffinatly a change from the Ultimate Thrill type shows with the enthusiast that talks during the whole ride about airtime and g-forces.

The format of every show will not be like the Cedar Point episode.

Next airing is Tuesday at 8pm and then midnight

I guess I'll have to checkout more of the episodes. The show was pretty good but the whole fearsome foursome challenge thing just kept getting on my nerves a little. hahaha.

Most episodes will not be spent at one location. The only other episode that might be spent at one location that I can think of would be Six Flags New England. And they haven't even recorded that one yet.

I thought I heard they did an episode with one of the Intimidators?

Well, not yet. They were going to record at Carowinds 2 weekends ago. But, Bert (from what I heard) got hurt on an inflatable. The Carowinds episode will now be recorded next Tuesday and Wednesday.

I liked the Utah one though.

Yah, the Utah one was pretty different from the CP one. I don't think they really have a set "format" other than Bert going around to different places and doing stuff.

It's from the same production company as Man vs. Food. On MvF, Adam doesn't do a challange on every show either. Only where one exists. In the case of BtC, there's probably a very limited number (if any) existing challenges for the types of things he's doing. So, the producers (with the help of the park) came up with the fearsome foursome. I believe having some sort of challenge was suposed to be a part of every show originaly. But, after they did some studies with focus groups, they decided to change up the format. That's not to say they won't have another challenge. But, your not going to see it in every episode.

Well, from talking to a full timer this weekend, the Fearsome Foursome Challenge is in place. She didn't have all the details. But, she said that someone from the park follows you around with a stopwatch. The time starts when the first coaster leaves the station and ends when the last one reaches the unload area..

Does that include waiting in lines? Or do you get to cut lines to make it work?

You have to wait in lines.

So, its pretty much pointless to attempt for the remainder of the year.

All that it would basically require is a 20 minute or shorter wait at Dragster. If the clock doesn't start until Millennium leaves the station than Millenniums wait is irrelevant. Get to Dragster in a 5 minute jog, wait for the aforementioed 20 minutes, get to Magnum in a 5 minute jog, walkon?, jog down to WT.

I could see it happening. Maybe a Friday during the september period of halloweekends?

I could have done it last Friday easily. WT was a walkon. Magnum was a walkon. Millennium was 15 minutes and TTD was 20. If Dragster didn't break down it would have been easy.

Halloweekend Friday nights would be the best time to do it.

I guess I didn't think of trying it on a Friday. So it could be done.

That's assuming they let you do it in that order. The show did it from shortest to tallest. Magnum, WT, Millie, Dragster.
