Heads Up - New Travel Channel Episode 6/16 at 10:30pm

I saw a few familiar faces in the show. Overall I enjoyed it, because quite honestly how can you dislike a show about Cedar Point? :)

But it was rather humorous.. they were jumping all over the park. He exits Wicked Twister, then is back by Maverick, etc. And why on earth would you do those 4 rides in that order? Seems like you'd go WT, Millie, Magnum, and TTD to save time.

Be honest, but has anyone on here done the 4some challenge thing? I had never heard of it before last night, but I'm up for a try during a Friday night HWeekends trip. :)

If there really is a one hour limit then none of us will be getting the t-shirt! Unless they let all the challengers skip line :P

I can't get over his face on the TTD takeoff... the cheeks blown up, haha.

I haven't seen the episode yet (it's on my DVR though), what is the "four" they are referring to? Magnum, Millennium, MaXair, and Dragster?

Assuming you can start the clock while boarding MF I think it could be done. Your clock will be at 2 minutes when you get off MF, run to Dragster, clock at 6 mins, I've seen Dragster be a 20 minute wait, get off Dragster at 28 mins, run to MaXair and Magnum.

If it wasn't completely obvious to everyone here. Bert did the challenge via "TV Magic." However, to validate the challenge, the Travel Channel contacted the park and asked for a few names of people who frequent the park to see if they could do it. Millennium Tony was one. Based on what Tony said, it is very possible given the right time of year and what day of the week you come. IIRC, he made a mid-week attempt and would have gotten it with time to spare if Top Thrill hadn't gone down for mechanical. I know others were also contacted. I don't know who or what their success was.

At the time of shooting, the only T-Shirt that existed was the one they made for Bert.

^^
The "four" were Magnum, Wicked Twister, Millenium and Dragster. He rode maXair and Skyhawk at the beginning of the episode before "conquering" the challenge.

Would it count if you pay for the V.I.P. Pass, and enter thru the exit. That would only take about 30-40 minutes to hit them all. :)

GATEKEEPER-I came, I rode, I was mildly disappointed; until a second ride (rear left) put GateKeeper back on the...it's a nice ride list.

I think you could easily do it on a Friday night during HWeekends.

Yet, what does one need to do to get on the invite list for events like this?

Some of us were invited directly by CP..then an invite went on out Facebook which I think was filled up within a short amount of time.

Those tapings are nothing short of boring really. ALOT of standing around and when the weather doesnt cooperate (like during WTs taping) it is horrible! I had on 3 layers of clothes and seeing Jason in his shorts made me shiver. Alot of people had thought/hoped they would be on the show and not many actually made it on screen.

Except of course for Jason and the aforementioned shorts...I saw him and them 3x ;)

It's all about getting around the barrels, or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that?

enjoyed the show, i am sure they used WT because it looks good on television (slightly unique or different).

but for actual ride experience, maverick or raptor would have been better.

They used WT because it's the 3rd tallest at the park. The fearsome foursome was the 4 tallest coasters in the park.

Now that the show has aired, I have finally uploaded my Bert the Conqueror videos to YouTube. You can view them here. They are all of Top Thrill Dragster. One complete circuit, one Rollback and one near stall.

So did he really ride those in under a hour, from Jason's videos looks like TTD was filmed in the morning?

I will have to say, I didnt care for the show. It could be better with a different host.

Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.

I'm with Matt, I didn't think the show was that great. They even used clips for the 2008 Extreme Terror Rides.

It was iffy for me. Probably because I could tell how not right it was. The only part I liked is when he asked the kid to hold his hand on Skyhawk. I spit up Fruity Pebbles when I heard that. :)
