yeah wardrobe sells them for about 7 dollars i believe. last time they were grey..said cedarpoint on the front.... staff on the back... those are the only ones we're allowed to wear. for any lifeguards who read this you need to have a hat on to not wear a shirt, just a bathing suit so you'll want to purchase one.... or two
Are ride operators allowed to wear anything that is sold at Cedar Point because people were talking about bringing a cedar point sweatshirt to work, or are we only allowed to wear wordrobe wear?

You can get an embroidered Cedar Point logo sweatshirt in about 6 different colors from wardrobe.
You are also allowed to wear plain sweatshirt (no visible markings or logos) that has no hood in a Cedar Point approved color. I believe the approved colors were red, burgandy, forest green, and blue, with maybe a few others. The ones that stuck out in my head as not allowed were pink, black, white, and anything bright colored. At least thats what we were told during training.
Hats can only be the Cedar Point hats or visors sold at Wardrobe, or one of the other older khaki colored hats or visors that ESD still gives away as prizes occasionally.
The sunglasses rule is rather relaxed, but you can not have mirrored sunglasses to the point where your eyes are not visable (i.e. the guest sees their reflection instead of your eyes). You also can't wear the Oakley/Motorola MP3 player sunglasses. Basically any grey, brown, or black glasses in conservative styling are appropriate.
On a side note, I would not recommed wearing expensive sunglasses such as Oakley's to Cedar Point. Chances are you'll drop them more than once over the summer meaning big scratches, or you'll lose them, get them stolen (it does happen) or even crushed and broken. Go to the mall and buy a cheap pair of $15-30 sunglasses to bring with you, because you'll probably go through more than one pair over the course of the summer.

Just for the record, most foods employees (aside from servers in sit down restaurants) are required to wear hats. Also, sweatshirts and rain jackets can be worn in quick service, but they're not the most comfortable when you're running around the ovens and fryers and such. I wore my sweatshirt off and on during work.
Regarding the comment about the mirrored sunglasses in Wardrobe, I saw those glasses this summer and you could see through them pretty easily.
I may be seeing some of you this summer if you work in Foods. I'll be in the Education Office.
