When on a site for one of the scare zones, at the bottom where it shows the hours the only sunday listed is the 13th. I don't know what to believe. Guest services is saying something different than the website.

Outdoor scare zones are closed Sundays, with the exception of Oct. 13. Some printed info from earlier in the year states otherwise, but changes like that are not out of the ordinary.

The website is correct.

Fridays have limited rides open. The rides that are open are listed on the Halloweekends website.

When I was there for Labor Day weekend, MaxAir was closed all weekend. Anyone know why and if it's been opened since? I was so sad that SkyHawk wasn't operating yet, but then to see that MaxAir wasn't either was disappointing! Just wondering because I'm heading to Halloweekends over 9-21 weekend.

Michael Mage is the magician in the show this year. While I am sure you have never heard of him like you have Ed Alonzo, he is a professional magician and not an actor found at a local college like in past versions of the show.

Maxair was operating last night. No Skyhawk yet.

Good to hear! MaxAir is my favorite out of the two anyway. But I do enjoy Skyhawks shorter lines. However, sounds like no lines are short during Halloweekends, hahaha!

I'm thinking of heading up there tonight, how crowded do you guys think it will be. Worth going?

Hi im going to halloweekends on oct 19th and i was wondering what the wait times are for the haunted houses on saturdays

I would have expected much much more from an opening night at Halloweekends. The scenery in the haunted attractions was nice, but the monsters showed little to no effort to scare people. I talked to numerous groups who thought the same thing. Zombie high school was pretty neat, but you end up admiring the scenery the entire time instead of getting spooked. In serveral of the haunted attractions i noticed the monsters conversating with eachother. In CarnEvil one of the monsters even stopped to conversate with me about how great he thought my goatee looked. What was the breaking point for me is in Cut Throat Cove, instead of getting scared, people were taking photos of Maverick, and what really bugged me was the monsters were helping them take pictures! I dont think the monsters are supposed to be this friendly lol. I guess ill just stick to riding rides while people wait 1-2 hours in line for disappointment.

Do you think that it's possible that the monsters weren't that good because it is their first day, and they'll get better as the season goes? I am just wondering (or being hopeful maybe) because we'll be heading there the first weekend in October.

Everyone,

Just a little help needed about the specifics of the haunts. In October, the Face your Fear group will be at the park (see shameless plug 6 posts up); this year we are tackling more than just roller coasters, including fears of all kinds (spiders, public speaking, etc.). Some of the students who are not in the roller-coaster phobia group will be tackling their fears at the park (one girl has a phobia of birds, and we're actually going to use the seagulls...no i'm not kidding).

Two of my students have a fear of being in the dark in places like hallways, etc., and I instantly thought of the haunts (indoor...the scare zones will not be open on the 20th unfortunately).

My question is this: Do any of the haunts have areas of complete darkness in hallways, rooms, etc.? To be honest, it's been a few years since I have walked through any of them. Ideally, a whole hallway of darkness or an entire room is what we're gong for.
