On a side note, Holiday Horror at KI has a President's Day themed room, and there are billboards and signs that say "Kinzel For President, 2012" and "Ouimet For President, 2012." Its kinda like the two major political parties... lol :)

Idk. He might be on to something. Anyone running for president these days seems scary to me.
Not as scary as riding a roller coaster if you are a phobic.
For those of you who may be in the park on Sunday, keep a lookout for myself and the poor students I convince to conquer their roller-coaster phobia at Cedar Point. :)
Face your Fear 2 starts at the Mine Ride at high noon...Robin Innes and John H. will be along for the ride as we get started, so drop by and say hello!

Well now that the screams are almost done I will address the questions asked at the begining of the thread, I was slightly disappointed with the removal of the peeing babies at the end of happy jacks toy factory but I must admit only slightly disappointed with this. I would like to see it returned though as it did a very creepy element.
Is it just me or are we seeing fewer screamsters this year? I sincerely hope this is only a matter of perception but based on video from the first year of the Overlord and this of the Overlord I dont think I am seeing as many screamsters approaching from behind the crowd. Again I could be wrong so please correct me if I am.
Last thing, are the screamsters not as well made up this year? Most of them seem to be lacking some of the more detailed elements they used to have, there are exceptions the one with the trash can for example I know he has been there many years and his make up seems to be about the same. But others look less done up just face paint really not to many add ons.

As of this past Sunday, they are still there. Have been since the event started in September.

I went the weekend of 9/30-10/1 and I got peed on....
Yup the babies have been functioning for weeks now. I don't know how the exact numbers are at this point in the season but they started with more screamsters this season than last season I believe (at least I think they hit that goal). As far as the makeup, the park has seriously cut back on the number of prosthetic masks. Or rather not cut back but continue to order the same numbers they have in past years despite having new zones added and more monsters. Along with that the makeup artists are almost always short staffed so there is more face paining going on and less mask painting. It saves time in the chair and allows them to keep up more and the park doesn't have to order more masks. its unfortunate as I love them, unless I'm trying to breath in one, but they are part of what makes the event for me. Though the artists we have are really talented and have had some fantastic face painting jobs as well this year.

I was there Sunday 10/16 the babies were there but they were not peeing. Maybe I had arrived before they were turned on, it had just opened and I got in with no line.
I know the Overlord character is very limited but I did have an idea to give him some real kick. Remember the fire element that was part of the summer spectactular a few years back? As I understand it the piping and things are still hooked up, Imagine if the Overlord were to finish his speech raise his arms and fire shoot from those old elements! That would add some spice to that character dont you think?

Saw this on the news tonight. Can't imagine being scared to death of coasters but I guess if I was, the mine ride might be a good start. Good Luck!
No coaster will ever be too fast or too tall!
Thanks. :) It's really the students' stories being told. I am consistently amazed at their courage to stick their neck out there and this.
Just as the tip of the iceberg, one girl going through the program last year (there is a lot of behind-the-scenes work they do to get to this day...much more than just the "exposure" day at the park) was literally in tears and shaking uncontrollably in line for MF, which was her personal goal. She made it through with the help of her fellow students, and then even braved Dragster. All this and its not worth any extra credit, etc...it's just a a group of college kids determined to change something about themselves. Pretty neat to watch unfold. Anyone's welcome to eavesdrop.
What else I have come to learn is how personable and genorous the likes of R. Innes, Tim Walsh, and John H. are at the park. To a person, everyone has helped this project get off the ground and taken their own time to lend a hand if they can. There are some really genuine, caring people at Cedar Point. It's a shame we don't talk about that enough. :)

Depends on whether you're seeing video from a Friday or a Saturday. On Fridays, Screamsters from both the outdoor zones and the indoor houses are in attendance at the Overlord. On Saturdays it's just the outdoor zones since the houses open up long before nightfall.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
I was in Happy Jacks Sunday and the babies were not peeing. They were on all my other visits this year.
I'd like to see the Overlord improvise his speech from night to night. The fire idea sounds good to me.
I've been meaning to mention this. In the last couple of weeks some of the props from Paddlewheel Excursions have made their way to Blood on the Bayou. The one that I have seen are Russell "Rusty" Steele, Rusty's goat, Muddy Rivers and C. Moedee. The boat Winnebago was there from the start.

There are 6 Paddlewheel props currently in the zone. And for the number of Screamsters, as the year goes on some tend to quit or become injured and can't work, etc. But yes on Friday's you see more with the haunted houses out there, and Saturday is just outdoor zones, and generally on Sunday there's less then on Saturday due to some of the Screamster's drives they have going home or work that doesn't allow them to work Sundays. But we still go out and do all we can to make sure we give the best show we can, no matter what our numbers are.

I hate to break it to ya, but the overlord is completely prerecorded and the guy that "plays" the character couldn't produce an equivalent sound. He just doesn't have the right type of voice.
