From what I heard they have a samll gym in the rec center. I'll be using Cedar Points for my daily jogs =]

The "gym" in the rec center is pretty much just a glorified weight set. Your better off hitting up gyms in town. I think there are a few on 250, but don't quote me on that.

Yeah, the gym is a joke. It's basically a bench and a treadmill. I'd recommend anytime fitness. It's on 250. About 7 minutes from the point. It is open 24/7 which was nice.

Anytime fitness is the best gym to go to. They give a cedar point employee discount . Its new, and open 24/7.

I'm at a local anytime fitness right near where I live...The franchise is amazing...Alot of machines, alot of free weights, and alot of various workouts, and some you can even manipulate to your own workout. They even have those weird stand-alone bikes, I forget what they're called..Plus with it you can tan (if they all have tanning, I was told they basically do) and if you're not near your home gym, you can find a gym near you & your membership will still work (my membership will carry up to the anytime fitness on 250). I paid 53 something & that included tax, and I got 6 weeks worth of membership which will last until the 8th (the day I process in lol). I def. recommend them, go online & get your 14 day free pass to go in & meet with them/work out/ect for free & see if you like them.
Now it's not going to be just 30 bucks...There is a one time fee to activate your account, security fee, ect...Your first month will be the most expensive...If you do choose to tan, that's another fee..Plus there is tax on this as well...Just so everyone is aware...But if you do join Anytime Fitness, make sure to use the anytime health website...good stuff...and it's pretty cheap if you buy the stuff (protein shakes, wicking shirts, ect)
I am psyched for Anytime fitness!

I emailed the Anytime in Sandusky about memberships for Cedar Point employees and how much they would cost. They said they're offering CP employees 3 months for 125$. There will also be a 25$ deposit on the keycard which will be refunded after we return the key at the end of the summer.
30$ a month my ass lol

It's roughly $42 a month. That's still not that bad.

That's terrible.
They probably don't even have regular barbell benches. They'll have bull**** smith machines and cybex machines like every other modernized gym.

Actually..They have a normal bench press, an inclined bench, and a caged bench (same area used to do squats). There is not one smith machine there
They actually have quite alot of free weights, & machines...Also btw, it's all Precor machines
Actually there are a few smith machines...I figured all locations were primarily the same..Regardless, this is a top of the line gym...Go to their website & look at em...This one is actually a bit bigger than mine, my location isn't nearly as big...I don't see it but I really hope they have the Precor AMT...that thing does wonders
