Hi Anjee! It's great to meet yet another person on GTTP that works for the *Greatest* area in the park (like Tyler, I'm biased, but with good reason of course! ^_^). I'll be arriving at the Point on April 28th, so I'm sure I'll get to meet you right away.

Tyler's right; Guest Services folks have one of the most interesting and fun positions since they get to meet all kinds of people from all over the country and world and work to make their days the best possible. I'm sure you'll have a great time!

E-mail me or Tyler if you have any questions, or ask them here on GTTP. I hope you're looking forward to a great summer; I'm really excited about it!

Hey Anjee! It's great to finally hear that someone else will be working with me this summer!!! I hope you're totally ready for the coolest job at Cedar Point! Not only do you get to meet ALL kinds of interesting people, walk around the park, have the coolest bosses ever (Tyler and Lisa), but you get to learn WAY too much information about Cedar Point. When do you start? If you have any more questions, I am sure either Tyler, Lisa or I would be more than willing to tell you about the greatest dept. at Cedar Point...right guys?

Oh, and Tyler and Lisa, notice I said you guys were the COOLEST bosses ever?? Just remember that when I need a favor sometime this summer. Tyler.....do you still have the list of names people gave the Parent Swap?

Don't worry, Jen, I've had practice from being an RA here at school...we talk with Security on radios all the time since we're on duty in an apartment complex and it makes things a LOT easier. (Though it may take a while to remember to listen for a regular number instead of "LV-One"! I'll try not to antagonize you -- or Marcia -- too much!)

For anyone who works in guest services: what ever wage you are making; ITS NOT ENOUGH! I was always amazed at the way you folks handled disgruntled guests. I wish that I would have learned some of the lessons that guest service employees could have taught me. It took me 10 yrs to learn what you folks will learn in a month! God bless you all and have fun this upcoming summer!
Sean (Shawn?), are you coming back to Admissions this year? I didn't see it in your sig.

As to Redbrigade's comments... Yes, Guest Services folks do get to talk to a lot of disgruntled guests; that's why it's "Guest Services" -- when people have a question, a problem, or are just really confused, they come there to ask for help. Most of them, I'm sure, are pretty respectful, and some are irate (but you get this spectrum working in any area). However, employees there also get to hear from the guests who are having a great day and just want to let someone know how happy they are about their experience. That, for me, would make the job most worthwhile!

Hi Lee

No word yet H/R said they couldn't find my appication. If I don't here by the first of the week I'll give mike a call. I hope it didn't get lost in the system. This would be my sixth season in admission. I realy enjoy my job,and I want to try to meet more people this coming season. I hope mike will consider me this season as a team leader. Still want to stay at the beach, to me That the gate rocks when it comes to guest. They are the best, some even write or email just to see how I'm doing. Maybe we can get together sometime and talk. I don't get to meet many admission people, they always send me the ones they don't like. This season maybe it will change,we'll see

Indeed dealing with people is an art no matter what business that you will go into;from nursing, social work, pharmecutical sales, or administrative. The skills that you will aquire at CP will last a lifetime and it will only take a month or so to learn them. The learning process is far better than any "book lernin" that someone can get!

Hey!!! So here is my little Cedar Point story!

-November: Auditioned for Live E

-December: Applied for Live E Tech

-February:

-Notified that I am on "alternate list" for Live E -- no job.

-Called Mike Nelson, and he said if I don't get hired for Live E Tech, he will hire me for Guest Services!!

So, it looks like ONE way or another, I will be there -- possibly in Guest Services, which sounds GRRRREAT!

------------------
Ross: Rachel's pregnant.
Joey: Oh my God!!! I can't believe that!!
Phoebe: Holy mother of God!!!
Ross: With my child.
Phoebe: That is brand new information!!

ok
Lee: Well Iwould like to work at resort gate again this season. I did let Mike know my preference so hopefully thats where I will go.

Live E -- I hope I'll get to meet you in Guest Services this summer! If you do end up there, I guarantee that you'll have some great times and crazy memories.

Jason -- I know how much you like Resort Gate! For my theory, Mike is probably waiting until he has all the TLs and ATLs decided in general before he figures out the final placement for everyone (and even then, things can change...last summer, I was the TL of Resort, then of Front Gate, then Group Sales...all within a week of processing in! Much craziness, I can tell you, but it definitely all worked out for the best ^_^ ). I'm sure, though, that whatever gate you end up working on, you'll do a great job and add a lot to the team.
