I think that my favorite moment during my job at the Point is the time of evening right after the Summer Spectacular. Many guests leave then and it's just so fun to see everyone with a smile on their face, thanking us for their day as they are heading out the gates. Some even stop and tell us stories about what they've done and how fun it was. The kids are the best -- they smile and wave and say "thank you" in a little chorus when their parents prompt them -- so cute! It makes me feel great about my job and what I do, knowing that I was a part of the team that made these people's good memories.

As for the best moment overall, I'd have to say it was the day we were challenged (by Vinnie and indirectly the Raptor crew) to a little capacity challenge. He wanted us to beat Raptor and get over 21,000 riders for the day. We had an amazing day with no setups, packing every train, and hitting every interval. At the end of the night, Corey and I were down at entrance having fun yelling across the midway for people to "come ride the #1 coaster in the world with no wait!" We finished off the day with 23,094 riders and had a crew ride (woops - did I say that???) ;)

But just as cool as the lift walk on Magnum was the track walk on Magnum! I tell you there was always something interesting to look at, whether it was Soak City guests (ooh la la), or the sound of the waves hitting the beach, or watching the guests go through the preztel. I loved those nights when I'd get to do the closing track walk, because usually Soak City was closed, and so I felt all alone back there, just me and Maggie. A pure Zen moment, if there ever was one.

I would also have to add that I would never forget the time during pre-season '00 that the Magnum crew got to ride Power Tower over and over again, and when we had to go over to Gemini and climb up the lift to get on the train to weigh it down, oh yeah and when we were finally allowed to ride Millinium Force like 20 minutes before the park opened.(to weigh the train down) I swear we sat on MF and rode it like 5 times in a row. I was blacking out when we hit the bottom of the first lift hill after like the 3rd time. But it was awesome. It was cool to see all the guests staring up at all those blue CP suits in the train. Like man "I wish that was me!!!!"

But the great power-outage was fun too, because I got to climb over 290' that day. Talk about a major workout.

Walking people down from the lift is cool because you're up in the air and there's a crowd of people on the ground watching you and everyone walk down the lift, and only you(the employee) know's the reason why.
This made me feel important because you're responsibe for getting that group of people down safely plus everyone on the ground is watching you which is cool. Ok so I'm crazy I know, lol.
