MaverickLaunch, I'm not a raging coaster enthusiast with any sort of holier than thou attitude, but I do have an opinion on this, simply coming from someone who loves CP, good and bad.

While you've posted about others "self righteousness" have you considered your own "self righteous" attitude? You stated multiple times that you didn't break any laws as set for by the FAA, you only broke Cedar Point's rules. Why in the world do you think it's OK to break posted rules posted by personal property owners, simply because their rules aren't laws? Talk about self righteous.

How long it flew over the park doesn't matter. You chose to ignore the park's policy on the matter. End of story.

No, the park decides which rules are worth enforcing, not me. They clearly allow people to put their hands up on rides, so they apparently don't prioritize that rule. They presumably do prioritize the drone rule.

And any reasonable person could guess why they enforce those 2 rules differently. My hands being up on a ride doesn't endanger anyone around me. You flying a drone on their property endangers their guests and poses a risk of damage to their property.

Now, I'm sure you'll say "no way was anyone in danger, I was doing XYZ to ensure people's safety". Or, you might contend that your drone didn't pose any risk of damaging their property. But unless you were literally the only person on the peninsula (which is of course not possible), you were clearly endangering other people at least in the park's opinion. And you were most certainly posing a risk to their property in their opinion. And their opinion is what matters, because it's their property.

But hey, it's all good because you didn't break any laws, right?

Triggered! But that is a good question. My observation of the day I saw the blimp flying at the park, they were actually flying around the park, over the lake. Maybe there is some kind of no-fly zone over the park. I know they are not allowed to fly over Disney Parks.

Categorically false. I've been blasted in the head more than once by a fellow riders arms who lacked the ability to control them on hard turns, etc. But there you go again, deciding what's important.

If you don't like the park so much, don't go, simple as that. No one is forcing you, and I think we all get it, they didn't meet your expectations for closing day. Move on.

If you want to fly drones over the park without getting their permission, then do it, but don't act all ticked off when people call you out on breaking the park rules. Legal loophole? No. Still breaking park rules and being douchey about it? Yes.

And if you would like me to tell you to your face you're being douchey, I will be happy to do so at the first available opportunity. Enough already.
