Golden Ticket

Today on closing day if any of you get the gold tickets post it here! I want to know what worker you got it from, what seat you got on Maverick, everything. If you got pics of closing day you can post it here too.

Some of them may not be home yet.

If you think about it, the chance of seeing one is pretty slim. I have been at CP on multiple occasions as some of our fellow PBers that I know by sight and never bumped into them once.

Who ever was able to get these passes were very very lucky, right place at the right time.

How about being the IDIOT who got so excited when she saw the golden ticket that she forgot one word in the quote so she didnt get the ticket? That idiot would be ME!! I got so excited I messed it up! By the time my hubby got to me and started to say it (right) some punk pushed himself right in front of him and with script in hand said the quote exactly. Hubby was pissed.

As for me, nothing like being teased the rest of the day when word got out I messed up! But on the other hand we had no plans on staying till closing anyway. After 3 hours of sleep (thank you Quarter Horse Congress) leaving for CP at 5:30am-there was no way we could have made it till closing. Plus we're going to KI tomorrow night so wanted to get home semi early tonight.

So no Golden Ticket for me---close!!
Next time I'm writing it down!! :)

Hey Jo, I followed you guys in the resort gate this morning but you had your back turned and I wasn't sure if it was you or not....I was still a little drunk at 9:10 A.M. I just remember seeing the quarter horse jacket and your husband getting a rather odd compliment about his "gear", I believe is what the kid working the gate called it.

"Are you sure you wore enough clothes?"

Hahahaha

Then your husband gave a smart ass answer that I thought was funny, but again, I was not all there at that point so I don't recall what he said....just that it made me laugh.

I'll speak up next time, hopefully I won't be drunk.

I imagine any comment about my hubby's gear was prob something about all the OSU stuff he had on? He's a true Buckeye freak-me? I'll stick with horses and CP, thanks! :)

Oh no!! I probably would have done the same thing & would have been PO'd the WHOLE day! Where was the staff member when you found them?

I was fortunate enough to get a golden ticket...I got mine around noon by wicked twister...from an exec in park ops...i couldn't tell you his name though...it was a great event and I hope to see more of these types of events at Cedar Point in the future. I had seat 4A. It was a pleasure riding with everyone on the last train. Have a great off-season everyone!!!

We were walking to Pagoda and I happened to see 2 of the silver tags walking my way and saw the Golden Ticket hanging off one of them and ran to them. By that point I wasn't even looking for them anymore thinking they'd all be gone. Brain farts suck, and I was pretty upset at myself but we had no plans on staying till closing and and would have had to then.

I saw some guy walking by Matterhorn around 3:00 or so. We needed to leave the park by 6, so there was no pursuit. :)

I saw no guests with any...and in line for Maverick at 10:00am no one seemed to know what in the world I was talking about.

I looked as I made my rounds and had the other people in my group looking. No luck tho. Finished the night on TTD so it wasn't all bad.

I saw three Golden tickets but they were already taken =( two of which were basically showing them of one kid just walking around with it on and then a guy in magnum station was showing some poeple it, the other one was a guy i know. But it was fun getting the last train of the season on TTD (the best season by far )

I didn't manage to find any golden tickets so no last ride on Maverick for me. But I did manage to get the last ride on Millennium Force in the last seat. So now I got the last ride in 2006, the first ride in 2007 and the last ride in 2007.

I didn't see any execs walking around, but we did meet a guy in a fleece maverick sweater by snake river falls who my excited sister asked if she could pay him $10 if he gave it to her, and he was like:"Nooooo, I can't do that!" Then laughed. I yelled at her and said that it's HIS AND HE LOOKED HARD FOR IT.

I also ran into Kinzel shouting on his cell phone in frontier town by the old truck display.

John Hildebrandt said he had a 10 year old kid waiting for him at his parking space when he pulled in.

People are ridiculous.

We looked for it most of the day no luck. I saw 2 people with golden tickets one said Tyler had it on and he found it around 330 the other kid said he found it by the offices around the arcade. We got off of Maverick close to 9 pm and I saw them waiting to ride but there were still quite a few people left in line I wonder how late they were there.
