ummmmm...."thugs" at Geauga Lake....are you joking? Yeah...I've seen scarier looking people at Cedar Point and especially Dorney Park, compared to Geauga Lake. I personally think the park looks SUPER. Cedar Fair is doing an excellent job of pulling it out of the black hole Six Flags let the park fall into. Everytime I visit the park is clean and looks wonderful.

Can anybody tell me what has gotten into 13-15 year old kids lately?
They're always telling people to "loosen up" and "get over themselves" when they have no clue what that really means, and for God's sake, can we lay off the damn "thug" thing?
You kids really need to stop trying to prove yourselves, because you're impressing no one.
first of all, i'm 19. and thats exactly it, the person who started this thread was only 15. i'm not trying to prove myself, nor am i trying to impress anyone. I just think that it really is ridiculous how people bicker over stupid stuff. and I, like ensign smith, find this thread hysterical, like i previously stated. moving on to a new thread now.....
This is about Geauga Lake "Going Down Hill". I appolagize but I have not read the post do to the limited time that I have. But I wanted to post a thought that I had and I felt it fits in this topic.
Did Cedar Fair miscalculate when they opened WWK on the former Wild Side of the park?
I have been thinking, they have nearly 700 acres with 50 acres of lake. I would say that the Wide Side (300+ acres) could have been sold for development and they could have built WWK where the old waterpark was, including the area of X-Flight, the Monorail, and probably Head Spin (relocated) if they would have waited. I mean, why would you have 700 acres of property on a park that is a single day attraction (not a destination like Cedar Point (only 364 acres). Isn't the ride side (250+ acres) enough for a park that charges only 24.95 for admision.
^ Wow, that was probably the smartest idea in this entire thread. I don't know all the background information on the park sale and "revitalization", but your thought process makes a ton of sense to me. The only thing I can think of is that they're trying to make the water park its own "destination". Or, maybe they're slowly doing the opposite of what you suggest and making a HUGE water park and eventually going to sell off the ride side (including the rides)?
Well, if they still want to get free trips to CP after they move out they won't! Nothing like a little blackmail to keep a coaster freak in line! ;)
Oh, & to give you an answer...yes, that is part of it. But even if I can feel a good vein under one I worry I won't see it infiltrating (going bad) as they start to get reddened before they swell usually. Also, I don't have any evidence based research that I am not pushing slight amounts of ink into their system. Boring stuff, I know!
CPboy, don't get discouraged; it's a tough crowd in the park enthusiast's arena :)
