Gemini record...

Hey all, I am going May 8 (tuesday I believe) and would be more than happy to meet up with other Gemini or Millennium Force "Record-Setters" to try and set a personal best, feel free to e-mail me at Olympic10086@aol.com

mikey :)
Keeping track of the winning side would be some good data for my stats. class at school. PLEASE let me know what rides what car wins...

It'll be challenging to keep track of which side wins, but we can try. I know the last thing I want to do when riding a coaster this many times is have to think about something, and pay attention, but I guess it would be some valuable information. I always thought the Gemini cars were rigged by the bookies so the people with the most pull at CP could win when you bet on the outcome. If you don't know, the Gemini gambling underground society is located inside the inflatable Snoopy. It's run by a kid named 2-tooth Tony and if you try to double cross him, he sends in his mob of kids to bounce you around for a couple hours until you wet yourself. Just FYI.

Anyway, concerning add-on riders. We're limiting it to 4. So far we have Myself, my brother, Joe E., and someone of Joe E.'s choosing. I don't know if Joe's chosen a 4th person, but who knows, maybe if you ask him right he'll let you in..(hehehe...sorry Joe) EVERYONE E-MAIL JOE E. IF YOU WANT TO JOIN THE PARTY...*snicker snicker* I'm the devil... The date for the attempt hasn't been set, but we'll keep any of you who are interested in the results posted. That's all I got for now...

Question: How do you explain the actions of millions of people who wait hours upon hours to be dropped down a hill???

Answer: You don't...
Personally I think the entire GTTP board should pick a date for this event. Then we can get two or three people to take turns sitting at entrance to be the officialy tally counter and have a list of everyone's name and how many laps they have for the day. We could all order GTTP shirts from Jeff and have our logo/goal/whatever airbrushed on the back. These are just random thoughts. I mean I could set up a page on my website (which will open March 1st) and have a list of the riders and other info.

Sounds like a pretty good idea, but who would want to sit and watch people ride a roller coaster? And also, you'll need to get in contact with Kelly about anyone staying in the station. She's the one who's going to REALLY be in charge of us when we do it.

Concerning the date, so my brother can join in, we are going to need to do it sometime early June. But we don't want to think of a specific date yet, because of risk of rain. We can narrow it down to a week first, then when that week approaches we are going to need to hit the weekday it seems less likely to pour on us.

Write me back withn some more ideas and we can discuss these further, Dan...

More on the shirt idea. I had an idea on incorporating the guidetothepoint address and now also the spirtofthepoint address on the shirts (with permission of course). This is to pay homage to the sites that are in part responsible for the event. Whatever kind of shirt we use, it will be good.

This event is starting to get bigger, and since this year is the GEMINI's 25th ANNIVERSARY :) , I was thinking we should incorporate that also. I not sure if CP is going to make a logo (I think they did for Blue Streak in 89), but I had some ides for one that we could put on the shirts.

As for the date, I was thinking everyone could get 2 days off of work (or whatever you do) and a couple of night's before the event pick a day so we don't get washed out. Storm systems do seem to move faster in the beginning of the year so as long as a stationary front doesn't park over us, one of those days should be good. I will bust out my mad forecasting skill ( or we could just ask Gemini ;) ) and we will have a nice day to do this.

These are just again idea's, and it's a good thing we have time to plan this out. I've already nominated David as the leader of the expedition, so I guess we should wire any idea's through him.

Actually, this year will be it's 23nd anniversary. It was built in 1978.

You must be getting Corkscrew and Gemini confused. Coarkscrew was built the year of the country's bicentennial(1976), hence the red white and blue.
How stupid of me :( I deserve to be shot. *** This post was edited by Joe E. on 2/13/2001. ***

I guess I got my Arrows mixed up. I just got up (I'm at college) , was groggy and recovering from a night of not thinking about CP. At least I'm getting a two year head start on designing the logo.

Well, Dans idea may be cheaper than getting new ones made. Whatever, you can't beat $10 for any shirt, and I can't bare the thought of Jeff losing out on valuable closet space. Send Me One, and don't laugh at me when you find out that my house rest 50 feet outside of Cleveland in a city that is known for it's purple cake more than anything else. ( I am not one of them).
