Geauga Lake web site?

Does anyone know when cedar fair will have geauga lake on there web site, and when six flags will take it off there web site?

I would say after the aquisition is finalized April 1.

It strikes me as funny that the park's acquisition will fall on April Fool's Day...had the news that this was happening prior to this date not been released, I wonder how many people would have taken it seriously. I know I would have been extremely suspicious.

That is pretty funny. I wouldn't have taken it seriously either. In fact, when I first read the announcement, I thought it was a joke of some kind.

Yeah I was in shock for quite a while and until I went to C-Buzz did I actually believe it.

take a look april 1st (or shortly there after), its ready to be released , cedarfair.com , or geaugalake.com, its legaleeeze

Cedair Fair dose have ownership of Geaugalake.com now: { https://signup.bluedomino.com/signup/whois.php?domain=geaugalake.com } So my quess the website will be transfered over to the new gl.com site when the sale is final.

As of 11:15am today, when I checked both sites. Geaugalake.com was not linking to anywhere, I just got an page not found error. and the WoA site on Six Flags was going haywire. I was getting half a page and errors all over the place every time I refreshed it.

There is still a few more days to switch it over. Even then, I don't really expect to see geaugalake.com to go to a website. I'd give it another week at the most.

A simple explanation would have sufficed instead of showing your irritation, Jeff. Not everyone on this board reads every thread to find information. Not everyone here is "in the know". It's funny, I used to frequent your other site but became tired of these types of comments towards your beloved members. I came here because I thought maybe things may have changed, but it's the same old story. Nice site, good mods, irritating webmaster comments. Yes, I know I should have posted my comments to another thread or section, but I was just following suit.

Maybe this is a good time to thank you Jeff, for running this site. Although I sometimes post stupid things, I appreciate the ability to post here. Thanks for putting up with me, and with the idiots who try to take away from the fun of the site.

Anyway, back on topic, I remember hearing about the porn thing back in the early days of SFO or SFWoA. I think Six Flags simply let the registration expire, since they most likely didn't want to be known by the old name. I never liked the Six Flags Ohio name anyway. They should have just added Six Flags to the Geauga Lake name when they rebranded, in my humble opinion.
