^^Both parties should be held accountable.....not just the bean spiller.
I'll say, again, that this is going beyond the pov video assumption. Nobody is butt hurt over it. The discourse is coming from those of us who are trying to maintain a professionalism for the site as well as look out for others (like the source of the info). Suggesting that it's "not a big deal" or "he hasn't done wrong" is plain ignorance to the main argument. I would argue that some people are butt hurt that their "little birdie" is (repeatedly) being asked to stop. This is not information you NEED to know. If it bugs you, ask the park. I'm sure John Hildebrandt (or whoever) would be more than happy to answer it.....even if they don't give you a direct answer.
In a world where a park is trying to maintain information from being leaked and fansites are trying to maintain a healthy relationship with said park, you can't have bean spillers telling information to people who can't, in turn, keep it to themselves. That's the problem, and it has been addressed. What he does and continues to do is up to him. He's been warned (both in friendly and harsh manners) and will eventually deal with the consequences if his actions are not changed.
P.S.- Telling a moderator how to do something isn't a very wise decision.......just saying.

I think the bigger problem here is not necessarily the content being leaked, but the more long term effects it could have on the park. For example, I think we all know that Jeff and Walt have enough connections at the park to have access to information not normally available to most of us. This is why when they do share said information, we believe them. They have and can share this because of the level of trust they have built with the park. Other posters leaking info on here obviously do not have the trust of the park. So, lets say a poster begins relaying info from the park....others begin to trust and believe his every word...suddenly he becomes the "go-to" guy for info. Well then one day he decides, for whatever reason, to lie...to spread false info, maybe even something extremely detrimental to the park. Because he has this "legion" of followers, they instantly take it for gospel..... I'm not saying that would happen, but it could, and I'm sure its part of CP's worry about things like this.

Nope, you have been repeating info your buddy said. Oviously if the park is upset over some of things you have been saying and both administrators on this website are upset, then you must be doing something wrong.
It's not up to you to determine whether the park is "hurt" by the info. If it is stuff that the park hasn't officially released, and you're passing along info your "buddy" got, then it is up to the park to handle it how they want.

Look kiefz, whether you think you are right or not, the critical point here is that this site belongs to Walt and Jeff, and they get to make the rules. I think we all want as much info as we can get on GateKeeper because we're all very excited about the ride and what it means to the park, but certainly not at the expense of the relationships that Walt and Jeff have with the park. Too many good things have come out of those relationships, like say $7000 to a great cause. Try to keep that in mind when they say that you are posting things the park does not want released as of yet, and they aren't happy seeing it on here. Cedar Point is under no obligation to provide anything like they did on Saturday. IMO, it's much better to just wait a few weeks and let them release info according to their plans and schedules than to leak stuff and jeopardize future opportunities like we had on Saturday.
I wonder how this whole project was leaked in the first place. I'm sure Cedar Fair isn't happy with them either. I, personally, like surprises and don't want to know everything. Telling us when testing will begin isn't a big deal because the park has already stated around the time that that will happen. It's some other things that they don't want random posters releasing and a lot of people would like to wait to hear that information.
Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!

Making assumptions are not facts
Don't play dumb. You first "made a name for yourself" by disseminating information that was clearly not intended for the public realm - even when you were politely informed what you were doing was not pleasing to the park, and possibly endangering someone's job.
When you recently disseminated information about testing, you did so in a vague enough terms that some might reasonably assume that info was also not intended to be in the public realm. And let's be honest - your vagueness was intentional. You're getting off on the attention, clearly.

You all are repeating the same things form before. I haven't posted anything that gives away something since then. Walt/ Jeff, calm down...

I too will make an educated guess that you won't be around much longer..........
Parker
I don't post much on here as I like to sit back and read the comments made by others.
Leaking info that you got is ok, as long as the admin's are cool with it. If you keep on leaking info after being told to stop that is on you.
Personally, I could care less if you leaked info. But again, if you have been told to stop then stop. It's that easy.
Hell, post it on Twitter or Facebook or something.
As for the topic, can't wait to see video's, whenever they come out. I know i'll be riding in the back screaming for dear life, lol.
Until proof is shown that the park is upset about this situation, I'm not buying it. Pointbuzz has been behind on posting Gatekeeper information vs. The rest of the internet, Facebook pages, other sites and even subreddits. I think they're just bummed they're not relevant anymore.
Everyone here knows the admins have intentionally sent bogus rumors to other sites so they could get the upper hand and seem more legit than other sites, right? Keep that in mind when you kiss Jeff's ass.
This will be deleted because the admins will be embarrassed, but posted again. Jeff is a hack at this whole thing as demonstrated by his immaturity with competition and he couldn't 403.6 if he tried.
We don't forget.

I agree. Other sites have posted a lot more info than point buzz. Almost all the info has been shared by the park. What else is there to get upset about? Jeff isn't "God" here.
This site isn't relevant? It just raised $7,000 for unfortunate kids while providing a behind the scenes look at the park for hundreds of people. I don't know of a more "relevant" site.

So the dude can be an attention whore with 13-year-olds dripping off his every word? Yeah, that's totally worth it.
So I have always been an active reader of the site and have not posted much but I don't really appreciate the owner of the site looking at anyone who disagrees with him as a drooling 13 year old
Your mom,
Typical response from a member here. Why is it typical? Because it skirts the actual issue and comes up with something not related to it.
It's a good thing they raised money, yes. No one can deny that, but what was meant by "relevant" had nothing to do with the amount of money raised, but rather the information on the latest ride or the park in general here.
Nothing on the front page about Media Day being open to ANYONE who is a card carrying member of a coaster club. I found that out on a Facebook page as it happened, not days later buried in a thread.
Look at any question asked by someone who recently signed up here to ask it. It's a bunch of BS info and jokes. Everyone thinks they're a comedian, but leave the new user to find the info somewhere else. Meaning the user is ridiculed and then told to be shown the door.
But hey, we're all a bunch of 13 year olds according to the admin. Do yourself a favor and find a more active, friendly site. There are lots where "experts" don't bash anyone and scream "ME ME ME. I KNOW EVERYTHING" every time someone posts something that might be slightly off.
^ agreed. The admin does a really good job of throwing their weight around when someone disagrees with them. They are very big on belittling people that have a different opinion than them.
Im glad the site raised 7k for the foundation. But the administrators have to stop lashing out at every comment that is posted. Im not threatening you, the park, or my friend. I check every time before I post something make sure that its appropriate to share.
I love how for every one pissed off blogger on this site there are 10 more readers who are laughing their butts off about the things that online bickering that can go on for days here.
If I remember correctly, the admins claimed to have received an e-mail or some form of communication from the park about this. Jeff, I think if you really wanna stop this you may just need to show this proof and it might give people a better understanding of what your trying to say.
Hell, you could just send it privately to Kiefz. It's hard to respect someones opinion and understand them when the authority figure (who people are supposed to look up to) addresses the problem in a way that doesn't seem respectful to them. This isn't new, this is how it has been for many years and it is the reason why people get off topic and into online shouting matches on this site all the time.
Most importantly, I bet you anything that if this were handled in a different way it wouldn't be a problem anymore.
Closed topic.
