Gatekeeper Testing.

Now that the track is complete and trains have arrived, when does everyone think testing will begin (pull-thru, dummies, etc)? I know the weather is a little unpredictable still in March, but opening day is fast approaching. Shouldn't it be soon?

Testing is going to happen soon. About one more week of electric still has to be done. Then clearance checks will happen. Actual train testing will happen around the first week in April

It will be better than that. I expect to see some POV videos of the first test run.

That would be great to watch the testing through the webcams.

Dude, just stop. You don't know what they're going to do. You might be leaking project information that you shouldn't be leaking (and believe me, they're not pleased about it), but you don't know what the marketing people have planned.

Some other parks I've seen have released testing videos. Its an assumption.. not leaking anything important. Even you could have made that comment.

Testing video is a given and saying " most likely release" isn't giving away information. Its speculation.

I can't wait to see Gatekeeper fly! The trains look awesome. I hope they throw in some night footage with the lights.

^ I not completely sure, but I think it's because part of this site's population confuses speculation and something harmless for something absolute and dangerous.

As apposed to the population that confuses confidential material for something that's open information?

The unfortunate part here is that Kiefz015 now has a type of stigma attached to him. And because of that, he now has eyes on him in regards to what he posts. I'll say I don't feel the post from today reveal anything. But when just about every one of your posts is revealing information (regardless of how true or minor it is) and you've proclaimed to have inside information, some people will see future posts (like todays) as a kind of "Mr.Know it all" post.

So your saying this is wrong because people believe he is just a "know it all?" He has specified when information has has a source and when it is speculation. I think its a problem that members on this site are badgering a person who has done nothing wrong and only because he has a stigma or "eyes on him" or people judge the fact that he asks questions (on a blog where questions should allowed to be asked) he must be wrong.

He says, "the park will most likely release videos" and all of a sudden hell breaks loose because people think he is releasing top secret information. When really he is just making an educated guess that there will be a test video because of the real fact that many large parks send out test footage before the ride has had any public riders. for example, Dollywood's Wild Eagle and Outlaw Run at Silver Dollar City did this. This should be just an idea to look forward to. No need to have a conflict about it.

So you see no wrong in this post? Or others like this? You don't share information about the progress of the ride without the parks approval, unless said information has already been released. Enougn said. It can become a problem that the park has to deal with. He doesnt know what he's talking about and he doesnt work for the park. This site is for speculation and discussion, and yes it is being a know it all when you feel it is your job to answer everyones questions as facts because you know someone who works on the construction site.

It's sad that "know it all's" take all the fun out of speculation.

Honestly if I were Kiefz, I'd abandon that username and make a new one. And NEVER mention that stuff again.
