Gatekeeper Test runs

Did somebody say, "FOG" ?!?!

I'll jump on the bandwagon, Big K, as long as we can cotton candy scent it of course - which is what I do when I'm running through it at my DJ shows. You can NEVER have enough fog ! Love it.

Hmmm, I wonder what an Inverted Wing Coaster would look like...

I have to say out of all the PR people Cedar Point has had since Tony and Tyler left. Bringing Tony is for sure the best option. It is always good to have a good public relations person with a sense of humor. Nice video by the way. Very good find. Also after watching the whole thing there were some fairly stupid questions asked lol.

Very nice video. There were some really good questions and I like how John said they'll look into some things. They have charging stations for electronics at airports and I think those would be great.

Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!

I am happy that they may allow you to re-ride if there are empty seats.

I like how he's a big fan of dark rides... That sounded like a big hint to me...

He has been saying that for years. No hint intended. The addition of a dark ride just has to fit their business plan before they do it.

Totally off topic from what people are currently discussing.. but on topic with the title of this thread...

I think this was filmed yesterday -- it was uploaded yesterday at least -- but it looks like the train is going *VERY* fast through the layout, compared to other testing videos... They must have put the faster wheels on now.

When I was watching the video of the GATEKEEPER; I am wondering where did the Blue Streak got hit by a trunk?

The turnaround part of the ride. I saw a photo somewhere on another forum but I believe it has been taken down now. According to Cedar Point's twitter, it will be repaired and ready to go for opening day.

It looks like they were dispatching trains like crazy there. As soon as the first train hit the MCBR, the 2nd train was dispatched very quickly. Hopefully with the addition of bins/shelves to the platform, the crew can get trains out quickly. That lift hill seems pretty fast too. I'm so excited to ride this thing.

From what I have heard, they are expecting around 1,000 people to be there for media day. I wish it was less, but hopefully as long as everybody does not show up at the same time lines should not be too bad to ride it.

There will probably be some for the morning and some for the afternoon with some percentage staying the whole time (like me ;)). I can't imagine over 1000 enthusiasts being there from 4 till 6:30.

-Adam G- The OG Dragster nut

Yeah I know I'm planning on coming around 8:00am until 3:30 pm. I have other obligations that are keeping me from staying the whole time. Oh well, I will be there all of Opening Weekend! :)

Yeah people will be coming and going all day, between the people that work and school obligations 1000 people over 14 hours its 70 people/hr that would arrive there, the big time when people are there will be before 9 and after 3.
