GateKeeper Media Day

For those who got to ride Millennium Force was the paint job finished? And were the new brakes noticeable in any way?

The paint job is finished, and yes I noticed the new brakes, but only because I was looking for them. They do pretty much the same thing, only slightly smoother. Not noticeable unless you ride it alot, they were never harsh like say, Mantis.

The paint on the big hill going to the island, maybe the last half of it, looks horribly faded already or wasnt painted at all, not sure. Noticed this yesterday and it really stood out to me.

I miss media day already after seeing the huge lines today for GateKeeper. I'm going back for 2 days in the first week of June. Hopefully the lines wont be insane for Gatekeeper like they were today. I did notice that Millenium's paint job was finished and the new brakes. On a side note was anybody else around Millenium on media day when iron dragon made some really loud banging noises while going through the track. It caught everyones attention and for a minute we all thought it was going to valley. They didn't test it the rest of the day that i was there but seems to be fine now. Not sure what caused that. Also I guess Woodstock express valleyed today.

^^^Early Friday morning I went to TTD and while walking up the line que they had 2 skylift jacks with maintenence workers up there welding/torching something on a section of Iron Dragons track.

Just want to say thanks to Tony Clark, Annie Zelm, Bryan Edwards, Don Helbig, Jason Blake and everyone else for making media day special. The free bag, onride picture, and food was a great touch that I was not expecting. Media day was one of the best days I have ever had in the park.
