Not really sure what you are saying. Assuming the seat was available, why wouldn't I want to marathon the ride?

Yes, that. The G's at the bottom of the first few drops are fairly intense. I don't think the photos and video allow you to appreciate how compact the ride is, and therefore how short the pull outs are.

Are any of the Cedar Point hotels open the night of the 8th? I checked the online booking, but nothing comes up. Also, if they are open is there any kind of media promo/discounts?

If I get about 5-6 rides in I'd say the day is a success. I plan on getting there at 8am and staying until they close. hopefully more than that. I'm not expecting to marathon the ride like Jeff said or ERT. I know there will be a lot of stops and starts but I'd rather face the lines on media day other than opening day. Plus I get to be around coaster enthusiast which is a always fun. :)

CornStalk they do not open the resorts until 3:00 PM on Friday.

I guess I'm lucky my parents still live in the area so I have a free room. I grew up in the area then moved away for school and work over 15 years ago. I still make it up a few time each some summer but not as much as I'd like to. Media day should provide me a good chance to get some rides in before the longer lines I'd have to endure later this summer. I'm looking forward to Gatekeeper and meeting up with some other Point Buzzer. Whatever happened to the opening day get togethers? Those were good times.

Anyone gonna be there at 4:00 am? Will GK begin running then? My two sons and I will be there. I’ve never been to one of these and I hope GK is running shortly after 4:00 and we don’t just sit around until 6:00 am. Tony did mention it might not start until 4:30 though. Also, I can’t imagine it would be real crowded that early, but ya never know…

I wanna be there at 4 in hopes of seeing it with all of the lights on and possibly even riding it in the dark.

For me its about experiencing the ride, but would love some camera time! Already have the Gatekeeper sweatshirts for me and my husband. Have to mention that he is going just for me because he has a bad back and cannot ride! Gotta give credit for CP shop....they found me a medium sweatshirt with some effort. They did a great job to get me ready for "MEDIA DAY".

I'll be there from as early in the morning as I can get there till as late as I can stay.

Perhaps we should set a time and place to meet up as a group and get to know the other members of Point Buzz.

If there is some TV crew on deadline trying to get something shot, and it means holding up dispatching to do it, then you will be standing around. I'm pretty sure this has been a clear expectation from the beginning.

Who is there for Gatekeeper? I'm there for the breakfast and lunch.

Now that Cedar Point food is ok to eat again, I am also coming for the free food.

Seriously though, I am interested in coming mainly for the experience. Not sure how I will function on only 3 hours of sleep (I work until 10pm Wednesday), but look forward to just being there, and saying hi to my "coaster friends."

Did they mention what the food was going to be?
